which turtle to get?

i have time to kill and was told a turtle is a good water pet to have. i see so many of them and was wandering which one to get.
please help. i am really getting into the venomancer class and would like to get as good as i can with it.

    If you really want to take the time to level up a low level turtle, the level 5 turtles (abysmal turtle by Lost, riptide tortoise by Plume, or there's another one by Etherblade) will have the best stats.

    Don't waste your time leveling up a turtle... If you like grinding so much there's better profit to be made...

    Its still nice so your not SHARK FOOD in the future =/ my turtle raised from lvl 5 to 31 and kick a bloody shark lvl 52's butt b:cute
