Need some practical advice.

Okay, so I've been stumblin' around on my own (mostly) for 50-some levels. I've passed on a couple'a dozen invitations because I don't know who's who. Now I've piled up a backlog of quests which require more people (or a lot more more punch than I have). I guess I have to stop bein' anti-social and make some friends.

How?

A lot of nice people have asked me to join them. How do I know which groups I will fit in with? How do I know which ones have critical mass (enough members to be effective)? How do I know which ones are active? There are way too many on the list, above, to do any kind of research and not all of them have posted information anyway.

Can one of you grizzled veterans point me in the right direction?

Join someone who politely asks you. If you don't like it, just leave.

if you added any of the ones who invited previously as friends, try contacting them and see if you can join to see if you fit in - it is not like you are making a lifelong commitment

if the first one doesn't work for you, thank them for their help etc and try another - you might take a few shots to find one that works for you - or you might find one that fits first time.

myself i have been with the same faction for nearly 15months now - don't play as often as i used to, but still have a place I can call home

Fair enough. I didn't know how much of a commitment was expected.
