Exactracting Audio Files?

Hello. I'm wondering if anyone can tell me a safe way to deleting the music out of my game? I keep the sound off, but when I alt+tab often the music and the effects decide on their own volition to suddenly burst on. If I'm not listening to music on my PC I keep my speakers off just so I don't have to keep fiddling with the in-game volume adjustments every time I tab. But if I'm listening to music it gets very annoying to tab out of the game and back in and even though my volume is down in system settings, Chinese music is there blaring through what I'm trying to listen to.

    You should just hit apply after you changed the ingame sound to 0
    I tested it with no apply and alt+tab and got the sound back
    But if you do what pretty much everyone does by hitting apply
    The sound will be gone until you turn it back on

    I'm not even sure where they keep the music. The only thing I found in the files was the regular ambient noises.

    If what the above players suggested does not help, you can also turn off the audio per program running in Vista or 7 if you want.
    Do you need help learning about patching the game, installing it, changing antivirus/firewall settings, changing network settings, learn how to use a computer, keeping your PC maintained and more?

    Oh thank you, I wasn't sure what that "Apply" word meant down there and I didn't want to click it in case my game got uninstalled or my char got deleted or something!

    (That was sarcasm.)

    Of course I clicked apply. I always click apply. The sound sproadically comes on regardless. I don't have Windows Vista or 7, I'm still on XP. Yeah, I couldn't find the music files either. I really was hoping someone knew a way to nuke them.
