Capes....

I think capes should be viewable and players that are within a faction can have their guild logo on the back much like Guildwars and Shaiya does. I mean, everyone loves wearing a cape right?

    Sorry but I refuse to trawl through hundreds of posts searching to see if something has already been suggested just so I can make a 30 second post. Posting it again doesn't hurt anyone and will eventually be auto pruned by the forum if it is never read.

    Plus multiple posts of a certain suggestion is a good way to gauge how much that particular suggestion is wanted.

    and most pople who reply, don't want it.

    Also, no posting it multiple times is not useful, it's annoying... If u can visibly see that this is NOT going to be added get over it. No need to post again.

    Ok here we go, I dont have to "get over" anything, all I've done is make a suggestion. That is all I need to do. I have the same right as anyone else on this forum to make a suggestion, whether its already been suggested or not makes no difference to me. If it's not wanted a mod will delete it, simple. I will continue to post my suggestions as I see fit.

    Not being hostile, just stating fact. As for others giving me ****, don't really care, its a suggestion box on a forum, I'm certainly not going to lose sleep over them. I play the game more than I'm on here, I play and think of a suggestion and come here and post it. No harm done.

    No need to trawl through pages of threads and posts just to see if it has come up before. I make the post and I'm done, back to gaming. Which is what I'm gonna do right now. b:bye

    Grippie, I have to say, did someone do something to your cereal this morning? I'm speaking honestly when I say this, It'd only be annoying to me if someone posted something of the same topic like fifty times if I used these forums a lot.

    I don't, and I'd hope to god you dont, because being on here and not the game just doesn't make much sense to me. That being said, you said there's no need for hostility? It seemed to me like right off the bat you were being hostile to him, just for posting a topic that well deserves some light shed back on it.

    To me, just like the OP has said, It IS a good thing if someone re-posts something of a GOOD topic. I can understand if the topic is a useless debate and has no meaning, like the "****" debate, but this is something that could easily make DEVS loads of dollars, Euro's, whatever.

    Yes, It'd take a bit of coding and programming, but It is a DAMN good add-in to the game, and I believe with this 'Simple' idea, could definitely and easily bring in the big bucks. Simply put as the OP said, "Who doesnt want a cape right?" :)


    This isn't meant as a personal attack at you Grippie, but seriously.. What topic HASN'T been thought of more than once in the world? Sometimes, it's the third or fourth time said that gets it through. Telling the OP that he's basically annoying for not using search engine to check if this has been talked of before really just says you have nothing better to say.

    How about you reply your thoughts on the idea? Just because you said something once doesn't mean it cant be said again, and who knows, it could be the Lotto for us all, and with your random comment about his idea, could win us all capes. You never freaking know. :)

    This post was long, but I just had to say my thoughts, it IS a simple suggestion, yet sometimes It ticks me off when people treat it like the plague if people have said it only once before.


    Final thoughts for the OP here, great idea! I'd love to see this happen, and if anything, this can be an idea that the DEVS really push for in their next game, if we cant have it on PWI, because we need to let them know we want capes. Posting on both forums may solve this.


    We all should start a petition, seriously, see how many sign on both forums, then post all the names, and see if we get any kind of feedback. :)

    No, whats annoying is reading reply's like this to peoples comments. The search function doesn't always return what your looking for or many times returns hundreds of posts. Mama always said, if you don't have anything to contribute, then shut your mouth.

    I actually think this is a great idea. I would love to have my cape as well. Enable an option to "disable" for the players that might not like the idea.

    Has been suggested before, use search function next time or take your time to look into the stickied compilation thread or browse the newer thread by Myai (at page 4 or 5 or so).

    Naming other MMO's is forbidden. Please read the forum ToS before posting.

    Triple posting is also unnecessary.

    To the nameless alt (?), insulting people is also not allowed.


    As for the idea itself, I like it, but there were so many better and more detailed threads about this topic a while ago.

    i'd rather have Helmets show than Capes. But, that's been suggested before many times. So no to the capes/helms.

    I like the idea of having helms too. But I think helms would probably take a little more remodelling and coding of models to get them in. A cape would be pretty simple to implement. Some physics cloth and an attach point at the base of the neck. But have an option to turn them on and off as this could prossibly cause lag in heavily populated areas.

    If the devs wanted helms and capes to be visible, it would have been in the game from the very beginning. But it's not. They obviously don't want them visible. Doesn't matter if we like or want something added.... what the devs want is all that clearly matters. Period.

    No harm in suggesting it, it is a suggestion box afterall. You never know they might add it to one of their new titles.

    Well not true, it is all about giving a game longevity. They still have a ton of stuff to be implemented from the original Chinese version of the game, so there is no need to add additional stuff at the minute. Once done with all that stuff they may eventually consider adding suggested features such as capes.

    2 years isn't really a long time in the life of an MMORPG. Adding player suggestions so soon is just counter productive especially when they still have a ton of content to add from the original game.

    Like I said though, there really is no harm in making the suggestion regardless of if it is futile.

    Fixed it for you. 2 years is pretty old for a free to play MMO, considering how hard it is to maintain such a game without making a loss.

    ^yes Snipe, it is :D.. and Silvy has already pointed that out to them. To those who say I'm calling the OP annoying, I'm not. I said seeing multiple threads is annoying. Also, I feel I started this out very nicely by letting s/he know that there was a search function, and it would be appreciated if it were used.

    ON TOPIC: sorry I didn't post this from the beginning... It would be cool to have helms and capes viible... it would also be cool to have the Guild logo on the capes... but it's clearly seen that this isnt going to happen, sorry to burst anyone's bubble.
