Partial PvE/PvP server.

I play in Santuary server and was talking to a friend about the idea of turning it into a partial PvE/PvP server. The rules of the server would be this. If a Faction is taking part in a TW, the whole faction forfeit the right to turn off PK ( not including players below lvl 30 )

I think this would make for some interesting battles between TW factions and spice up the server a little.

So......Most of the faction be participating in the TW which means it doesn't matter whether they be PvP on or off...The others either be standby or probably in TW/Frost/BH/Etc and probably with people they know where PvP mode wouldn't really matter.....
Me wondering what exactly does this suggestion do?
    o.o'

Mayhaps make factions go PvP on and forget to PvP off or something?

Ok, I think I kinda understood what you was saying. Let me explain....

At the minute any player can turn their PK mode on or off. My suggestion is that any member that is part of a faction that is in a TW will not be able to do this. Their PK mode will always be on.

I've seen many TW factions with players in-game that have their PK turned off. I think it would promote more inter-faction battles and make the server more interesting. At the minute it's just handfuls of pink and red names hanging about West Archsor or Silver Lake dueling.

If you want to be part of a TW faction then you should have to pay some cost i.e. You will always have your PK turned on.

Well me was wondering more along time lines of time span.
Would the faction has their PvP mode on permanently while they own land?
Will their PvP mode turn off after the TW battle?

    o.O
Also me don't really suppose that this will do anything.
Eventually the strongest faction will take all the land and be bored/strong enough not to worry about being in PvP mode.

And the suggestion be a good effort but the boredom be merely an eventual part of all PvE servers. (Boredom hits even in PvP servers but during gameplay *mainly late game but still a bit during low/mid levels as well* it gives a bit more to do.)

Yes the factions that own land would have their PK on all the time. Factions that attack land but do not own land would only have their PK turned on until the next TW, unless of course they choose to attack land again.

I do agree on the bordon thing, but anything to releive that is a good thing and I think this might help a little.
