well, i'm finally getting up there in lvl's a bit, so i guess it's time to think hard about my next weapons.

it seems like a lot of people favor going 4 or 5 aps fists and sticking with calloused lionhearts. i kind of like the playstyle of axes a bit better though, so i've been thinking of making those my nice shiny lvl 100 weapon.

which would be the most versatile? i've never really done pk or tw, but i could see myself enjoying it a lot. if choosing between a 100 axe or the 4 or 5 aps setup, which would let me do reasonably well at both pve and pvp?

which would be the most cost effective? i understand that to really make fists shine, i'll have to go after some pricey interval gear such as the cape and possibly the tome (i forget the name), etc etc. but from what i've read, getting a 100 axe with sacrficial stike would also require quite an investment. i doubt i'll be cash shopping much, so i'll be farming for a good deal of this stuff. which would give the best return for the time i'll need to spend doing that?

lastly, i have the most basic understanding of lunar, nirvana, etc, but could someone point me in the direction of a thread that goes into a lot of detail about how to obtain/make gear like that? something like an "endgame gear for big dummies" would be a big help b:chuckle

thanks in advance for your replies. =)

Axes are pretty much a requirement if for both PvE/PvP.
So I'd say if you can only afford axes or fists, go axes.

Your endgame weapon would probably be Nirvana axes. So I would get either
    a) Ashura of Purgatory (TT100)
    b) Howling Hurricane (gold lunar pole hammer)
    c) Unparalleled Brimstone Edges (TT99 gold dual axes)

note however, that a) sucks hard for BMs. The only reason I would get this is to immediately cast it into Nirvana upon getting it as it's actually cheaper than lunar, option b), which is more damage oriented than its dual axes counterpart so you can do your job as a BM. c) is the cheapest option above. They are mediocre but its Nirvana options are seriously badass. I believe you don't lose your refines and shards when recasting after Quench so you can recast every couple of weeks until you get a zerk.

Reason I didn't mention TT90 gold is because it can't be cast to Nirvana, and are used more by people who use axes as a sidearm rather than endgame axes.

99 Gold axes will still be cheaper to make than TT100, the only exception is if you want to transfer 2 sockets, you might be better off with TT100 unless you get lucky crafting the 99 gold.
I post in forums. This one and others. That's why I post.
