Is hyper exp worth it?

With the cost, and the exhaustion thing, and the inability to play your class that comes with hyper exp ; Is it really worth it?

I was level 97 with 58% exp yesterday. I ended the day at 95%. I did not hyper, I did not oracle. Are hyper stones even NEEDED to level fast?b:laugh

I just got told "You can't get 35% in a day without hyper."

Just goes to show that person never learned how to play, but that's not the topic.

I thought about getting hypers to reach at least 99 before 2x exp ends, even though I was only level 97 for about 4 days without them.b:avoid

Considering your level and the rate at which you are gaining EXP, I'd say no.

Except for the few times I have hypered in frost, I have always been disappointed with hyper on my main. Could just be me though...maybe my expectations were too high.

According to one of my friends, who does frequent x12 hyper FF runs, hyper exp stacks cumulatively with x2, rather than multiplicatively. In other words, doing x12 hypers during the current x2 event yields a total of x13 exp, not x24.

In other words, hypering now during the x2 event will grant no additional benefit compared to hypering during normal exp.

Could someone explain to me how the exhaust/buffer timers work? Not what they do but when they activate and such. I've never hypered before.

Buffer = The amount of time you can still get normal amount of exp. This goes down while you are online.
Exhaustion = The amount of time you get half exp (I think it's half, at least) This can go down while you are offline, even if you have buffer time remaining.

That's in the instructions. I know that much. I mean when does buffer time start, how much do you get, same with exhaust.

Buffer starts whenever your hypers are paused. You get the normal amount of exp.
Exhaust is when you are offline, or when your buffer runs out. EXP/Spirit rates go down 90% during this time.

Meh, this post seems just like a forum for you to brag about your mediocre leveling while bashing those who use hypers. Just like you like to bash those who know how to use pets or have pvp skill. Hypers actually has less benefit during 2x.

Normal hyper you have 12x the gain of normal grinding.
During 2x hyper is only 6.5 more than normal grinding.

Given how stupidly cheap hypers currently are they are very much be worth it. This is especially if you abuse your 10 free pauses a day in aoe grinding or FCC. You can end up getting millions of XP using less than 2 mins of hyper.

The first part is just you showing you don't know how to play a veno but I won't get into that since that is not the topic.

I actually am thinking of getting a few hypers. After spending around 1 year at level 93, getting to 95 then getting the entire chrono chain finished, I figured I'd reach 100 and get my 3rd fairy.

I'm also trying to reach 99 in a superfast time due to some faction fb 99s coming up and I don't want to miss the rep since my level is too low.

Its been said many times its well worth it if you know how to do it properly. I have seen it first hand how EXP in frost can pump up massive amounts of EXP in mere moments.

I did, but the rest of the mmos were horrible so I came back. Really though I left due to focusing more on my college classes. Due to the summer break being over, I'll be not playing as much after the 27th of this month due to college again.

You are on another server so you have no idea how well I play. I get asked to do so many dungeons with people I have to refuse.

I had to run like, 7 or so frosts yesterday as well as do CS, WQ and BH to get all that exp.

I know exactly where and when to use hypers. I just don't want to use hypers, then end up in exhaustion and not be able to grind for a long time.

I got 60% in less than 1 hour today on hyper in Frost. Its worth it.

Of course i can get similar exp not using hyper. If i spend an entire day doing all my BHs, Cube, Stone, WQ, a full Rebirth and grinded a few hours i would probably gain an entire level lol.

How ever getting it in 1 hour in Frost is more convenient since i dont have time spending entire day in front of my computer.

What she said. You basically have nothing better to do in your day. You spent at least 4 and a half hours in frost, going at 40 minutes per run. Don't play the "We were doing it faster than that" card, 'cause unless you had at that level all people with 3.33 APS or higher (In that case, why the hell bring a veno?) in your squad it's impossible to go any faster than that.

Now considering you say you know as much as you claim you do. You would know that Hyper exhaustion time runs out while offline. Take into consideration sleep time + daily activity time (Going outside, school, work? Or do you still live in your mom's basement?) So unless you sleep 4 hours a night, wake up. Play PW for 20 hours and then sleep 4 hours again, the exhaustion time won't even affect you in the slightest bit. In most if not all cases, exhaustion time expires way, way, waaaay before Hyper time expires. Especially since you "Know exactly where to use hypers" You shouldn't be using more than 30 seconds to 2 minutes per run on your hypers".

So yeah, this is just really a topic to grow your e-peen which now evidently has turned in to a "I have no life and spent 10 hours a day on PW to level up fast, lol hyper noobs".

AFK while I gather up a few friends and we go roflstomp Frost and all get 20-30% at level within an hour.
Enjoy your 7 frosts a day to gain a fraction of that.

There is someone in the current faction I'm in thats better than me I think, in pve anyway. He doesn't pvp so I can't rate him on that.

Honestly, I've never used Hypers. I've been around on and off for almost 2 years (Not quite enough to get the Fashion, but that's fine with me). I'm probably old-fashioned, but from what I read about the process, in my opinion Hypers are not worth it. To my mind, slow and steady is the way to go, just like the Tortoise.

True, I do play on here from 3:30 till midnight, but I also work from 9:00 till 2:00 (though I tend to start earlier than 9). I'm definitely not a no-lifer.

Depends how much time you passed on pwi. I did 2 frost run today I made like 21% and my party was a fail at the second run 30 heads down =S . So 45-60 min each run. I still have 45min on x12. If you think its better to save 400k coins than get almost a lvl in no time it's your choice.It depends how much times do you have to play this game.

Its your business if you use Hyper or not, who cares if someone else does. In fact, no one cares if YOU do either. Just because you don't know this chars name (which you should anyway), doesn't mean I haven't seen you play. Doesn't matter though, just get off your high horse and grow a little respect.
