I started this piece months and months ago of Xoria. Tablet broke and had to wait for it to be fixed again.

I need some light critiquing, and tips I could keep in mind when working on another piece in the future.

You will need to click here as the image is far too big to paste on the forums.

It's not bad and your lines are decently neat... but urm... the bottom hand is backwards...

I also think it looks quite nice. And aside from the one hand, the arm holding the glaive looks a bit weird to me (from the ankle somehow :O and as if the arm doesn't really is part of the body, a bit off)

The forward hand isn't backwards. When you open your palm as wide as possible at that angle, the thumb can move back farther than it seems possible (that or my hand is just really flexible.

Here is a version of the picture where only the skin has been finished. Follow the thumb line to the forward finger's line. You'll see that they actually connect. Also note that the other fingers were foreshortened for depth. At first glance, I suppose the hand can cause an optical illusion.

Please go into depth on the arm holding the glaive. The only thing I can think of there is that this pose isn't a naturally flowing position. By this I mean if you tried to do the pose and aren't flexible enough to do it, you'll find that your body will rebel against you. The arm holding the glaive is higher up because of Xo's bust size, while the other arm must drop down, also because of the bust size. From having done martial arts and having a specialty in weaponry, I chose to keep Xo's wrist straight, causing less stress on the muscles. The glaive is placed in front of her because I've always thought as glaives being a sort of magic- shield. That is also why the glaive was given an enlarged scale.

EDIT: A friend pointed out that the belt's lighting effect was too far back. With the arm over it, the shadow should still be blocking out the light. So that is a flaw in the coloring.

I do see what you mean and I did realize that upon further examination but it's still off and looks very awkward. The thumb is perhaps a little too far up making it look as though it's on the complete opposite side of the hand.

=_=; I'm not good at hands myself.
