What skills should my genie learn ?

    Extreme poison - Damage amp (Definately need this one)
    Frenzy - Aoe Damage amp (Used with your ultimates on mobs or players)
    Holy Path - Speed increased to max, good for getting away or catching up
    Second wind or Tree of Protection - Good heals, depends on your hp and genie stats...

    There are some others as well, but you don't need to worry about them yet @ your current level. You'll eventually be enlightened to them as you progress.

    How about Fortify for Phys def, and Mage Star for mag def?
    once i have enough Attri points, ill have second wind, Holy Path, Fortify, and mage Star.

    Reread the description for fortify / :

    Doesn't give you pdef at all. It makes you immune to movement debuffs (Stuns and freezes I think.)

    Good for: Using in combination with Iron Guards, stopping a bms stun lock/not getting stunned at once.

    Not good for: Improving your pdef <_<

    Mage Star, as I recall, is also **** since it wipes your HP regen buff.

    Better options: Wind Shield, Absolute Domain, and Cloud Eruption.

    i use cloud eruption more then holy path

    on my way to permaspark wizzy D: need more genie mag points-.-





    (cloud eruption gains chi -> full potential at lvl 89, get it then get it!) xD

    curious how nobody mentioned spark genie skill.. wich is my favourite.

    if you reach 100 dex on genie, it reduces fire res of the target by 100%.

    this means that trispark + divine pyro with spark should take down almost every target.
    it even helps so much to take down arcanes since u can use it on blade tempest: this means that u hit for half damage phisical (great damage to arcanes) and half damage fire (HUGE damage considered 100% res reduction).

    the best thing is that, since now, fire element is the only thing that still differentiate wizards from other classes: its his own magic element that only he got (except some minor skills of other classes), so spark skill is meant to be exploited by wizards... exploit it!

    ps. it SHOULD reduce target res to 0, but it actually dont.. it reduces fire resistance to something like 100-300 for an average lv100 arcane, but it stacks up with undine, so if u can undine + spark the resistance really goes down to around 0.

    My genie has:

    Spark (For the reasons i told you before, i usually use it along with extreme poison, the combos with this are: "trispark + divine pyro" or even "sutra + divine pyro + pyro + phoneix (if near) + divine pyro" for a massive fire damage while 100% reduction)
    Extreme Poison (Use it whenever you want but ONLY if you are quite sure you won't need to use badge of courage)
    Frenzy (I use it together with extreme poison while im charging some big spell such as ice dragon)
    Badge of Courage (My only way to survive sins, bms and archers wich are enough "normal" to not one-hit me, it removes occult ice too)
    Absolute Domain (I use it especially to survive some big attack incoming, like BT of another wiz. Dont use it to survive bms or sins, their stuns will last enough to kill you after domain effect expires, try instead to use badge of courage and shrink away)
    Holy Path (Somehow useful to run away enough so you can heal yourself with ur endless channel heal skill >.> ps. i took it just cause i had the luck of 71+ lucky points, if u dont have just dont buy it)

    If you are searching for a pve genie, then get:

    Holy path
    Tree of protection
    Earthquake
    Expel
    Absolute domain
    If you happy wanna be, against the wind you won't have to pee.

    Absolute Domain, Holy Path, Cloud Eruption, Extreme Poison. I need a better genie with more than 4 skill slots :(

    Spark is hella cool, but the timing has to be perfect or it'll wear off before your attacks hit. Couple that with it's pathetic range and it's actually a bit less useful than it seems. Frenzy makes you super squishy for only 20 atk levels. In the age of Jones' and Anniversary blessings, that's peanuts. Useless now.

    Expel is a good option still, pretty situational though.

    Expel is one of the most useful skills ever. Sin sparks out of stealth and stuns you, expel. BM demon sparks on you, expel. I use it constantly when melees try to spark on me and fail.. miserably.

    Cloud Eruption + tons of strength gives me almost a spark and a half at lvl 1... lvl 10 takes like 160 or something energy? which is too much to be useful in a clutch situation

    Holy Path... nuff said

    Heart of Steel for when clerics demon spark and try to Tempest/Wield Thunder. Also saves my *** in BH metal quite a bit

    Frenzy, +20 atk lvls is useful for AoEs. Since EP only works on a single target sticking a Frenzy in with a BIDS/BT/Seize is really useful

    Absolute Domain is also useful for resisting dmg. Demon spark + absolute domain + ironguard = ~16 +/- seconds of invincibility b:dirty

    My current genie is a bit crappy:

    Extreme Poison
    Absolute Domain
    Holy Path
    Bramble Rage
    Tree of Protection

    When I actually get round to having a decent one I'll probably keep Tree, Path, Domain, add frenzy and maybe expel....not looked too closely as I'm cursed with genie lucky points, so I'd keep either EP or Bramble (most likely EP for max damage output on those hard to kill barbs)

    The genie I'm working for atm (needs to be 81+/100 LP >.>) would have
    windforce
    holy path
    spark
    extreme poison
    frenzy
    domain
    fortify

    Right now I have that genie but w/o spark and windforce. Really want spark for that insane dmg increase, after getting killed enough times by undine -> spark -> d.pyro (non crit was getting hit like 6k).. decided I really wanted it. So I'm shooting for 80-90 dex, 40 mag, rest into vit (prolly gonna need some genie gear)

    for pve you really need expel, counting the number of fail pulls in FC or taking agro in GV its a useful skill to have. absolute domain is good too when you have to take turns at using it in a squad at some (few) bosses (squad have to be close). those are useful in pvp too but you probably want more offensive skills
