Unable to Attack?

Maiya - Lost City

This has happened to me few times before, but more recently in a dungeon I was just in. I was on my Assassin character. Randomly after using the move [Demon] Tackling Slash (which immobilizes the target and slows it), I am unable to hit the enemy. I can move around, heal myself, use other skills (non attack), but no matter what weapon (dagger, bow, fists) I use the character will not attack the enemy.

Is there an explanation for what's going on? I'm certain that I was not lagging, rubberbanding, and the enemy was within hitting range.
