I dont know how to or where to report this but I recently did the surveys for gold and some of them you had to download things. Those things gave me spyware, viruses, and adware, and god knows what else. I had AVG on the laptop but for some reason it didnt catch these and well. My computer had currupted files and everything i downloaded was corrupted. The files were locked and i was the administrator on the pc. (actually no one else has ever touched it) I ran malawarebytes from a flash drive and found all these malicious things and there were all coming from those survey sites and stuff. I wound up having to buy a new PC (as i do i school online). But I just wanted to make people aware that these surveys are not clean.

Of course they be loaded with spyware. Get yourself a better antivirus if you lack that knowledge. And... you really had to buy a new computer because of spyware? really now? Its pretty common knowledge that the surveys are too good to be true. Look at the WOT (web of trust) scores on the sites and you'll know what I mean.

I have always used AVG for years and never had viruses... But now it makes me wonder. And yes i had to get a new pc because all my files were corrupted. Anything i downloaded was corrupted and I do school online and have papers due. I had to get another one so i can do my school.

And yeah about the websites... i should have known. b:sad I did get gold though

You can always do a system restore or reformat. Theres no need to purchase a whole new computer just before of some corrupted files. Just pop the windows cd in if you cannot even open your computer in safe mode.

System restore only went back to 24 hours... the stupid thing updates every day... so there wasnt a restore point past that (and yes i made one before it wasnt there) and im not sure on how to reformat anything and i didnt get a CD with the laptop when i bought it... So I bought a new one... Now i can learn how to format the thing without missing time from school.. I am thinking of putting unbuntu on it it since its free. But not sure how to do that either lol... If i ever get it cleaned out and running again i will have 2 computers. The whole point to buying a new pc was cuz i need to do my school and not very tech savvy about reformating and whatever... If i had of screwed it up even more i would be SOL with the entire thing and no way to get help. Which then i would have still needed a new pc..
