Q about packs

I'm thinking of buying some packs but this is my first time o.o

Is buying 20 likely a waste of gold? Am I just going to regret it?
Is it better to buy more? What kind tiger or coral?

    No as you can always sell them for coin.

    Which probably doesn't help at all.

    In most games, stuff that's labelled "pack" gives you a bunch of more-or-less random items. Which means, after opening it the "pack" is gone.

    The actual question in most cases is whether it's worth buying them to OPEN them.

    Buying them isnt a waste of gold unless u have in mind of getting a rare item right in the beginning. Even if u just get tokens u can exchange for other items that can be helpful

    Tiger packs only good if you're trying to get blazing tempest mount other than that they give the same thing as lucky coral.

    Actually, Year of the Tiger Packs have a slightly better chance than Coral Packs at getting something other than the basic tokens. See the PWDB page on Tiger Pack odds and compare to your link above. Coral Pack = ~2% rare items, Tiger Pack = ~3% rare items.

    At 20 packs you might get one rare item, on average, but don't count on it.

    Still, the Tokens are useful in and of themselves, so it's handy to have some of them anyways. Here's all the stuff you can get with Perfect Tokens of Luck. So, buy the packs for the tokens, and if you get lucky and get something rare, that's just a bonus.
