    Frankly I find the rule of not mentioned other MMO's here questionable.

    Sure full reviews etc should not be written about on these forums. You have websites for that. However mentioning the name only would imho not be that harmful.

    Who ever is willing to pay them money then I can understand why they allow it. If you know your product is better than who cares about advertising for the competetion.

    ads are probably syndicated in so PWE have no direct involvement other than including the ad code on the forums pages. What you see is also dependent on locality - i see UK based advertising for example Bank of Scotland, etc

    I don't see the double standard - the discussions of other games that spring up on the forum are usually so and so game has this feature or is that amazing.. to the denegration of PWI i.e it is usually people who wish to downplay PWI who raise these threads.

    If this makes you laugh - good for you. Personally I don't think it is that amusing.
