To all the QQ-ers this goes out to you,
First off, and I know that this has been mentioned a lot in other threads, but I'm getting sick and tired of all the constant complaining.
From the lashouts to GMs to all the flame wars claiming that they're "debate", to all these ideas of either boycotting zhen or other immature "threats" is getting pathetic. You, as not only a player but a customer have a right to complain about an issue just as much as any other dissatisfied customer is.
I am not here to give suggestions on how to complain to the company, I am writing this thread to give the one reason why there are so many "problems" with the game...many of you guys are just addicted.
No brainer..no duh, right?
From actually playing the game to responding to QQ threads in the forums hundreds of times it is also you who is part of the problem because you are the one blowing the whole issue out of proportion. This game is not out there to make your life harder. This is not real life. There are much more things to worry about in real life other than whether or not your'e ever going to get that Nirvana gear. When we are addicted to something we tend to forget that the real world is actually different from the imaginary world that stares straight at us. MMOs are designed to be addictive. More things are being released into the CS, including packs every week and more things such as events, instances, and gear are being released to keep our interest in the game. We, as human beings enjoy novelty, but only if it comes in our favor. New TW system...QQ, packs..QQ, cashshoppers...QQ etc, etc, ETC.
People...you are paying for pixels on a screen. Is that reality? No, you can't touch it, nor grasp it in your hand (believe me if I knew a magic sword could be taken out of my computer and used to slay evil IRL I would totally spend thousands of dollars on it) <_>
Solution: take a break (a long one if needed), relax, quit spending money if you are a cashshopper, and resume spending once you've cooled down.
I still love this game and I still respect the mods/GMs for doing a decent job. I will keep playing and charging the occasional zhen from pre-paid cards to support it because PW really is a good way for me to temporarily escape somewhere else, or if I'm bored, and the community is awesome .
Gamemasters and developers are humans, just like each and everyone of us, though in the heat of something it may not seem like it. We all make mistakes. If the staff at PWE continues to not listen to the voiced concerns of the customers, especially if you've voiced them in a mature manner, then perhaps it should be time as you the customer to stop using the product/playing the game.
Let's say you went to a restaurant chain that you have loved for many years, but then the chain started removing some of the tasty foods from its menu and placed in foods instead that tasted awful and it's prices began to skyrocket. You and many other people complain to the company, demanding to put the tasty food back into the menu but there's either no response or placement of flashy things to try to distract you from the problem. At that point would you continue to complain or just quit eating there? That's a real life situation, and I believe it still applies to issues that we are having in-game and in-thread.
I know that this thread will have a lot of flame going on but I want you folks to think. If you keep posting rude comments then imo you are no better than the staff at PWE ignoring the problems that have been going on for months and slowly losing customers. Let the company implode on itself not your sanity.
My last crunchy nugget of questioning: Are you a smart consumer?

This always seems to happen. When one person tries to give an insightful and mature post, 90% of the population turns the other way, back to their stubborn QQing ways. Everyone is guilty of QQing, even the ppl QQing about the QQing (while trying to appear calm) My point is that, if everyone followed the the OP's example and remained dignified and calm, then maybe something good would happen. Remember that saying "Patience is a virtue"? Well, if we keep losing our cool on the PWE employees, then what makes you think that they would want to fix the past few week patches? I don't like the new patches at all, but if i was a PWE dev or gm, I would personally just give the immature rage quitting QQers more to cry about. On the other hand, if ALL the players could come to somewhat of an agreement, although that'll likely never happen, then maybe our problems could be solved.>.<0

QQing at QQers is still QQ.
And damnit I hate that term.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
yea all they do is giving this game a future imo
the hyper-exp-stone things, so level 100+ users can level more and everyone else ofc
rank IX gear, there will be new content in the future which includes quests and so it'll give rep
the new font, since 1024x768 is not a gamer-standard anymore like it was when the game was brought to public
any kind of packs, the game is still growing so they want to bring in more items that cant be found regularly, regardless the money they make - everyone has to earn some
and all the other stuff, facebook & jonas blessing as example, just to gain more users to become playing one of the PWE games
QQers can just leave if they want to change something, losing customers/players hurts way more then a few spam posts. i for myself just ignore them and blacklist them ingame, aswell as flamers, so i can still enjoy playing like i want too.0 -
People like to feel aggrieved and like topretend they are the underdog, so they can complain they are being persecuted or prejudiced against.

i feel just like you, im a free gamer and i like the game regardless the enlessly patch CS oriented...

Glis - Lost City wrote: »the hyper-exp-stone things, so level 100+ users can level more and everyone else ofc
Can't disagree there, levelling without hyper past 80 was tough. Not everybody is that dedicated to religiously do daily quests for a meager 10-15% a day.
The problem with hypers though, is that it's way too easy to level. This is kind of a double-edged sword since lots of new players will get to a high level without learning to play their class while already experienced players will have an easy time levelling their characters.Glis - Lost City wrote: »rank IX gear, there will be new content in the future which includes quests and so it'll give rep
It's strange how many people think rep is the only thing you need for r9. In fact, the 300k rep is the easy part here. you also need roughly 3,2bil (yes, billion) coins for every piece of equipment, that's the problem.
However, there might be content that lets us farm chips (which you need 32k of for every piece) at a more decent rate, so who knows.Glis - Lost City wrote: »the new font, since 1024x768 is not a gamer-standard anymore like it was when the game was brought to public
Some like it, some hate it. I don't really like it but don't care that much either way.Glis - Lost City wrote: »any kind of packs, the game is still growing so they want to bring in more items that cant be found regularly, regardless the money they make - everyone has to earn some

PWE is hellbent on getting more money and players, that's quite obvious. The problem being that they (or the devs) make radical changes to the game (or the economy) in order to rake in more money.
You can't really say they need packs to keep on going as a company because they've been doing just fine for exactly a year without them.Glis - Lost City wrote: »QQers can just leave if they want to change something, losing customers/players hurts way more then a few spam posts. i for myself just ignore them and blacklist them ingame, aswell as flamers, so i can still enjoy playing like i want too.
QQers never leave, that's what they're QQers for. As long as this game gets changed regularly there will be people that complain about it. Sometimes rightfully so, sometimes you'd wish they'd stop whining.
The problem here is that people all have their own reasons for complaining. Some people just don't understand that and brush the ''QQers'' off as crybabies, while after the next update they're crying just as hard as the rest of them.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
Someone is a hypocrite.QQing at QQers is still QQ.
I mean look at the OP. That is not a post telling you that your issues are meaningless. That is a post telling you to stop acting like babies about it. Thank you for proving OP's point.
Or to put it more simply for people who can't read 5-6 paragraphs without getting ADD:
Complaint = A real method for getting the proper peoples' attention, if done maturely and constructively.
QQ = A complaint phrased in such a way that it looks like the person's "crying" over it.
Know the difference at least, people. The problem here is that people all have their own reasons for complaining. Some people just don't understand that and brush the ''QQers'' off as crybabies, while after the next update they're crying just as hard as the rest of them.People like to feel aggrieved and like topretend they are the underdog, so they can complain they are being persecuted or prejudiced against.
People... we love this game. Let's all admit to that. We love the game and we care about it, thus we give a **** if it's badly managed. But there's a right way to do it and there's at least a hundred wrong ways... probably the biggest of which is just getting too damn emotional about it. Sure, I get pissed when I read an update I don't like. I've said to myself "this is it... the game is gonna die a slow death from this."
But you never ever post in that kind of a mood. You take a couple hours, cool off, do something completely unrelated (ideally, get off the computer and go outside)... then you approach the problem in the calmest, most mature and constructive way possible. If you constantly post when you're angry, you're just "QQing."[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
Yes, I'm still a stubborn holdout in favor of the old game. Haters gonna hate. ;]

If you have nothing to add, then don't say anything. Nobody makes you read forum posts. If "people QQing" bothers you so much, then the answer is simple: Don't read those threads. And even more importantly, don't reply to them. A reply just bumps the thread back to the top, which is exactly what you don't want if you really thought the post was a bunch of worthless QQing. So the only explanation that's left is that you're trolling.
If you really, truly disagree with the OP, then at least have the courage to write up some counter-arguments. Posting a one-liner like "QQ more" just says that you're too stupid/lazy to type up a coherent response, probably too lazy to have even read the entire OP, but your ego is so big that you absolutely must let everyone else know that you thought the post was stupid, even if by doing so you give it more prominence on the forums.
I'm starting to see now why many sites let you rate individual posts, and the ones that are down-rated sufficiently get collapsed and aren't visible unless you manually click it. It discourages attention-hogs who add nothing to the discussion.0 -

The only thing they can do is take serious issues serious, and let people QQ their heads off.. in specific threads of course. Which is why they lump up certain topics.
I think it's a rather waste of time to make such a huge post telling QQers to slag off, because all in all, they don't care about the human-side of who is behind the screen. The single largest essence of complaining comes from the self-centered need to "be heard". That's why you have a rather large population of those who quit or play different versions of PWI and constantly state it, but keep posting here anyways. It's like when someone constantly states on FB/twitter what they are doing during all parts of the day. The main thing to do is either ignore them or laugh at them. They probably won't like either of those, but **** it, it's either you let them get you worked up or you turn it into your own entertainment. I bet plenty of those in PWE laugh at some of the posts here made by people, like those in the QQ threads at the top of this subforum now. And if they do, good for them, focus on the real issues. If one isn't satisfied with the game, they point out issues with it being fixed, be patient, and if nothing changes, find another friggen game. Not that difficult.0 -

One should consider that maybe the massive amounts of complaining is by design. Would this not provide a smoke screen for bigger problems that the company may not want to see discussed?
The number one MMO in the industry is raking in money hand over fist. Some of the players are starting to scratch their heads and wonder where the new content is. And how many years has it taken for these players to notice they haven't seen new stuff for a while?
For our game, we can take this time span and add to it another year for our players to start questioning the future of our game expansions. This added interval is the amount of time its going to take for the complaining freeloaders to clear out and leave a little bandwidth to consider real problems.
Seriously. The current 'game problems' are focused squarely on the loss of free stuff by the players who have no vested interest in this game. Meanwhile, players supporting this game believe that existing problems are well scrutinized by folks who obviously care about what happens here.
'Gimme my free stuff nao' anyone?0 -
Definition of FORUM:
1-
-a : the marketplace or public place of an ancient Roman city forming the center of judicial and public business
-b : a public meeting place for open discussion
-c : a medium (as a newspaper or online service) of open discussion or expression of ideas
2-
: a judicial body or assembly : court
3-
-a : a public meeting or lecture involving audience discussion
-b : a program (as on radio or television) involving discussion of a problem usually by several authorities
and thus, the endless circle of "QQ"...
Interesting? sidenote: After playing for over a year and a half, the game has changed into something I don't like. I've never posted in the forums prior to patch 390. Quitting is really not my style. Like thousands of others, I'm just sticking around to talk to my friends, and see if anything that fits my definition of "positive change" will come about. I've got a year and a half of time/effort/money invested, it's not so easy to just walk away from the game you once loved.
Cue QQ flaming~0 -

That's not exactly true. People have always trolled these forums, however most of the complaining started around the time Annipacks first came out and just never stopped.
Before then there was actually very little QQ.

I'll say it again, complaining about QQers is still QQing and you are not part of the solution. What exactly is the difference between you and the people you're complaining about? You're putting forth the same ideas over and over again, starting new threads about the same thing, and basically telling other people that they're stupid/annoying/immature/etc. etc. That's right, you're the same.
I think what pisses off the mods (and most everyone else) about QQers is instead of posting on an existing thread with their nice ideas, they start a whole new thread about it. So, instead of being listened to, people like YOU go in their threads and be like ZOMG POST IN THE STICKY DUMBASS or THERE IS NO PROBLEM, YOU JUST SUCK. That is still trolling. Similarly, instead of starting a new thread about ZOMG STOP QQING, why don't you actually follow your own advice, go back a few pages, and post in a thread that was already started about the immaturity of QQers, hm? Might I recommend Longknife's post? I think I enjoyed that one the most.0 -
