Red bar on character

after i created my alt, and play for a few days, then my character had a long red bar over the head, also click everyone there is the red bar over their heads too.
did i do something wrong or is it a glitch

    I also have this but it just randomly appeared on my main one day and has been there ever since. Kinda annoying when taking pictures but otherwise overlookable

    That red bar is HP, you might have clicked the button which activated that by accident. To turn it off, there is a tiny button directly left of the big HP bar (the bar beside your character portrait). Me, I find it useful, helps a bit when fighting.
