why archers never get cool skills?

I find the worst skill in this game is definitely winged shell, it is beyond useless

BMs can stun lock, I got stun locked by bm many times T_T, I heard they have 5 attacks per second at endgame... instant killers

Wizards one shot me, and how the hell can they make some kind of stun? Why the hell they hit so hard?

Clerics... ugh, their heals makes me sad and their own shell is more superior and they hit pretty hard too.

Barb's HP is so high, its really pointless to bother attacking them... even after they use Armageddon which one shots me. They can kill me, but I can't even scratch them... WTF?

Venoes have superior DOTs and they can heal themselves and with them pets is really difficult to even scratch them at times thanks to that bugged bleed from phoenix T_T... Venoes are way too OP, I hardly do anything but die instantly whenever I face a veno

Assassins have their stealth and hp steal and full damage with 5 aps... =/ even using sucky light armor

Psychics somehow makes me kill myself for some reason... and they are very weird with some weird buff that makes them protected or do huge damage.



But what do archers have?
Survivability? Yeah right, barbs, venoes and clerics are best at it, we have the worst survivability and even wizards have better survivability with their heal.

Glass cannons? Assassins and psychics killed our spots. I really hate assassins because they stole our spotlight. At least they can't use sling shots

Stormrage eaglon? Barrage of arrows? Pathetic ulti skills Eaglon sucks and barrage of arrows consume too much MP

Frost arrow and knockback arrow? They are very useless, mobs never get slow and knockback is pitiful in PVP.

Why PWI have archers with terrible skills? and we are out survived / damage by others? b:cry

Lenore - Harshlands

Winged Shell is one of the most useful skills in both PvE and PvP.

Stunlock is BM specialty. They can complain about you shooting them from 30+ meters away too, cuz that's archer specialty.

You can oneshot a wizard too...depends on gear, luck, skill, situation, etc. etc. etc.

Your crits make clerics sad, and yea their shell is better, but that's cuz they're squishier and if we had their version, it wouldn't be useful due to our tiny MP pool. Plus, our shell blocks both magic and phys, whereas plume shell only blocks phys.

Barb HP is their specialty...that's how they tank bosses and stuff for you....If you can't scratch a barb, he is either 1) much higher level 2) much better geared 3) simply better than you at PvP.

Venos are squishy and archers drop them easily...The only annoying thing about venos is when they level up, they run really fast and it's hard to catch them. Nixes aren't that bad at higher levels and better gears. They don't hit as hard as wizards and the pets don't help them stay alive. I find them easy kills in TW.

Assasins are pretty rigged in rpk and TW, I admit. They are however very squishy and melee, so they are next to useless in TW, which is where archers shine.

Psychic buffs/debuffs are their class specialty...you need to stop complaining about other class's abilities. Game wouldn't be fun if everyone is the same.

If you use your skills and your apoth right, as well as know when to run, when to chase, when to stand and fight, survivability is not too much of an issue unless someone vastly outgears/outlevels you and oneshots you.

Assassins will never outshine archers in TW. In random PK scenarios yes assassins have the advantage, but you'd be mistaken if you think they can "replace" archers in TW.

Stormrage Eagleon is one of the most useless skills in the game, that I agree with. Barrage, while useless in PK, is invaluable in TW as well as some PvE situations. Barrage is the reason archers are wanted for Rebirth and Zhens. It is also one of the primary area controlling skills in TW.

Frost arrow has its uses, especially if you go the sage path. Knockback is only useful in PvE, but sometimes I use it in PvP to build chi faster than normal shooting. It can also be used to lure mobs (if they are not immune to it).

I dont' think archers have it that bad to be honest. I rolled all the classes except for barbarian and ended up liking the archers best, which is why it is my only level 101 character. All classes have their weaknesses and strengths, you just have to learn how to manage them. We are outsurvived by classes that don't hit as hard and outdamaged by classes that are squishier. I think that's fair, no?

LOL. unless your accuracy is horrible or miss, Frost has a 100% chance to slow. But what's this? You're an archer? You shouldn't be missing much at all...

I was in 1 TW, and then I died once I step foot from an assassin poping out of stealth. And kept re-spawning and died right after respawn. They kicked me from my former faction after we lost the TW T_T

why would I want sage frost arrow? Its useless, water damage? C'mon is this a joke? as far as I know, sage archers suck. Sage frost arrow will make archers more useless than they are normal, arcane robes will take frost arrow better! Please uninstall for talking good about sage archer skills when they are completely useless

barrage is only an MP burner ... it does look cool but seriously, do I look like a caster class? My MP regen and MP is so low, my pots won't compensate for the skill waste of 2 sparks.

I stopped leveling frost arrow because it never worked after I leveled to 40+ bh mobs never get slowed or knocked back. b:cry and in PVP other classes can be slowed but useless on another ranged class and melees have speed up... its not fair. How can frost arrow have its uses when it doesn't work in BH29, bh 39, bh51 and bh59? I regret leveling it.

I played psychic and I have it much better as a psychic.

I have Demon Winged Shell at it takes quite a bit of hits before it "breaks". It's one of the most useful skills I have acquired for PvP/TW. It also gives me 400 MP when I idle.

If they catch you, you are a poor PvPer. Learn to Kite.

Archers have a damage penalty within 5m. of course you cant kill anything when they are in your face. Learn your weaknesses.

Flesh Realm pet skill disregards Armor so it is bugged into doing full damage to everyone. Unless you have a lot of HP, Physical Defense, Remove Bleed/Immune to bleed [Genie Skill], or good HP Pots to bypass the Bleed, you will die. Learn about your opponents.

A barb's damage is underestimated. They have a skill that does damage based on their HP. Barb's don't really have many Stun skills so you shouldn't be tanking their hits anyway. Learn to Kite.

In TW, you spawn with seal and can't do anything. So of course if they are in your base they will **** you out of spawn. Assassins have become the best 1v1 PvP class in the game. Learn how to counter Sins.

Sage frost is overrated. Though it is an extra elemental damage skill, the chi cost is what makes it overrated. Lightning Strike is much better. Sage archers don't suck. they have their Strengths. They stun longer, debuff better, reduce more damage, pretty much survive better than a Demon would. They have their uses. [Let's not turn this into a sage vs demon debate]. I wouldn't mind some of the Sage skills....

Barrage is one of the best skills an Archer has. MP burner? yes. Nothing a few event pots or a MP charm can't solve. I love my Barrage.

Frost Arrow is the best PvE skill an Archer has. It always slows unless you miss the shot entirely. The majority of the mobs in Instances/Caves are immune to movement debuffs/knockback, so you might want to keep that in mind. I'm suprised you havn't figured that out yet....LOL
Other classes have speed skills? Get Holy Path. Learn how to stun.

You're right, it does pop in one hit against the slightly above average opponent. but i usually don't get targetted much, so it just sits there lol b:sad

Especially with Genies, you can easily "tank" the DoT.

I never used Frost Arrow even pre-100. Only used it for a couple levels after I had access to it, then stopped. But in general, it's still a good PvE skill.

Winged Shell? Dude, it absorbs incoming damage and restores MP. If I'm reading right, that's damage you DON'T take. I don't see how a spell that not only prevents you from taking damage but also recovers your MP a bit is useless in any way (not to mention it's a real short cast, too).

Or from the topic Boogiepanda linked. Wings of Grace? Full damage immunity while casting? Not even my Psychic Will prevents all damage. Immune to speed debuffs, while boosting your own speed, and reduces incoming damage? And you never bothered with it?

And DoT's suck? Please. Let's say they both run through the full 15 seconds, together. That's a total damage amount of 7680.5. That's actually quite a bit. Just because they deal damage over time does not mean they suck. If you got, say, sealed or something, or if you got your attack speed lowered, these skills are still on this guy, eating him alive. That's more you could focus on keeping yourself alive while they deal the damage on him.

I can tell that just by looking at ecatomb, without even playing the damn class.

Edit: I should state, I'm speaking from a PvE perspective.

2/ BM = same as barb

3/ assassin = "if" u snip him = stun > deadly shot > lightning = dead
= "if" he use shadow jump = wings of grace > shell > winged pledge > wingedspan > lightning strike = dead

4/psy/wiz/cleric/veno = wings of grace > shell > stun > quick shot > spark > normal = dead

5/ archer = IMPROVISE

and of course the healing between each step and use ginie too

You don't know how to play your class, refuse to learn when people teach you, and just like to QQ. Go ahead and roll your psychic. The archers will LOVE facerolling you in PvP. Everything I said is related to high level PvP at 90+. If you can't get there yourself you have no right to call anyone else "stupid." If you as an archer cannot kill robe classes, THEN YOU SUCK, not your class. Good archers can kill robe classes ABOVE their own level.

Simple... 3 spark = purify although thats highly unlikely you'll have 3 sparks and waste it on a debuff like that since your focus shoud be to kill the nix first, which then makes ironwood useless since venos attack with magic and I don't think any veno (unless HA) will run up to you. Btw if you say nix's are hard to kill I'll laugh... a nix is easy 2-3 hit least for me.

I wouldnt pay much attention to kill count or K/D ratio as a measure. Any class can get those to be very high by preying on lower levels. It has much more to do with the type of kills you go after rather than the effectiveness of the player.
