Soul of Vengeance TB PSY skill

Okay, lately i've been running around on Dreamweaver server just killing mobs. For me since i am a Psy this doesn't really matter but I have seen a few Psy's following specific classes like the Blademaster who's skills rely heavily on there mana points.

The soul of Vengeance Blessing the psy has is a little more of a curse for other classes as they rely heavily on skills that use mana. Soul of Vengeance takes a specific amount of mana way from the one who it is cast on for every physical damage hit taken.

I think that the Soul of Vengeance skill needs to me made a self cast only skill. As even in PVE servers in my opinion casting it on some one else is just like PVPing them cause some classes especially the blademaster need a lot of there skills to manage to come out of a fight with out having to meditate for five minutes to rebuild there hp and mana. IT could also cause them to end up being killed by a mob if they can't defend themselves in a proper manner especially the higher level mobs around archo after level 30.

They're called mana potions. More people should use them.

*laughs **** off at this* Whew. HA classes (Barb, BM, and sometimes veno's) usually don't use skills that much unless they are having to hold arggo.

A BM who has fists will literally just spark and punch until can spark again, and if uncharmed using Diamond Sutra which is easy to get mana and chi for.

As for me personally my guy always has either, or both, a HP/MP charm on him (usually keep an MP on more since i fly through my own and rely on charms to keep me going when i actually have to use skills). This makes your skill not worth a **** to me b:cute

But still, suggestions are suggestions. Troll off.

Lolwut? MP charm? If you enjoy spending 5 times more than needed for your mp points, and burning 3/4th of the charm at moments you don't need it, go ahead.

And yes, you can **** a barb up pritty bad with soul of vengeance from a high lvl psy. The mp drain when he is tanking a fast hitting boss will drain so fast that it makes it hard to even keep theyr mp up enough for flesh ream.
And the worst part is, you can't clear the buf. Not even by relogging.

Some random (unknown) psy thought he'd be 'nice' and buf my sin with it in swamp yesterday. Sins use skils to keep theyr fighing power up (ya know, chi gain skil, rib strike to stay alive). Basicly, it came down to me spamming mp pots on a spot where I normaly take 1 pot every 10 mins, or be forced to auto attack and take alot more dmg

@OP: I apologize for true and greek; they have no clue about this topic AT ALL. I'm ashamed to be a part of such "intelligent" community.

@true and greek: if you don't understand what the OP was talking about, don't post OR ask for clarification. Also, if you're not a high enough lvl to know, don't post! *Proceeds to rage, but stops due to realization of how precious time is*

    @topic: what sirro said.
I consider my main (barb) to be of decent lvl. I've done my share of fbs/bhs and frosts. It is a CURSE! I once was fighting pole (or nob, don't remember) in bh 69 and I noticed how my mana was just.. vanishing. I asked out lout wth, but nobody seemed to know the answer (nobody wanted to point at the psychic). Loooool, imagine a barb with no mana tanking pole or nob... (or any boss for that matter AGGRO STEALING -> SQUAD WIPE etc). I did figure out in the end and told the psychic to ask others next time.

Next time it was in frost. Jesus... I lure ... and no mana!!! Woot! Almost a squad wipe. Right after, I asked my veno friend to purge me and I had to rebuff. This buff can be used on melee classes if they have the ... (what's the name???) mp food thing (crab jaozi's equivalent).

So... I was always thinking there is something wrong with TB's buffs. Sins have buffs that only affect melee classes (as a barb I don't complain... but...!!!???). Psychics have no party buffs (unless something changed?!), and the buff they can share can be deadly.

Yep, TB's buffs should be revised.

Know exactly what's going on and like I said, MP pots. Or you can use foods to be more precise. Heck, if it's really that huge of a problem to you, get a charm.

Yes, the MP drains rather fast on bosses that hit often, but after dealing with Demon barrage, I simply pay attention to my MP and carry foods.

Some people don't have the money to buy pots. <3 So they know their limits, yes? But when your MP is getting drained more than your used to, it kinda sucks, because your not leaving a FB to get some pots because of a stupid buff.
It's not my job to shut you down on a suggestion. It's a pleasure, though.

Thing is, at low levels it's not noticeable enough to be any real problem.

And by the levels where this starts to become noticeable and even an annoyance if unprepared... well... if you can't afford, say, 33k to buy 50 MP foods that give you 5k MP in 10 seconds then odds are that you're doing something wrong.

Please go tank nob/pole as a barb with SoV on you. THEN you can come back and TRY to either support what you said OR apologize.

MP pots are NOT sufficient in ANY way. You wanna use foods, sure. Wanna use charm??? Suuuuure. Go buy a couple and send me some so I can resell. I personally do not use charms (kill me if u wanna!). Every reasonable player at a decent (knows the basics) lvl will tell you that this 'buff' would be an unnecessary charm ****. 1 charm per run? Suuure, suit yourself.

Aside from the "who can afford what" stuff, there is the question of profit (benefits) and ... the point of actions. You've seen a couple of people telling you NICELY that you're a moron. Now go and get some more charms. With charms your mana will NEVER run out and you will NEVER die.

    /end of story.b:bye

So explain to me why a barb with a mp pool of 1,5k should carry mp food that gives 5k mp, specially when those lvl 40 pots are more than enough for him on regular runs

    Wa ha ha . .

A barbarian or any melee class having a nice day grind as usual.
A psychic come and give the melee class SoV.
The result is melee class mp drain very fast.
The melee class ask people what to do.

    Several people give choice :
    A. Buy charm
    B. Buy MP food
    C. Wth ? Come to the forum so we can discuss these !!
    D. You know . . you can always prepare extra item to recover your hp/mp . .
    E. Use beginner bow or bow that you can wear, so you can reduce the number of getting hit (any bow for assassin)

    The melee class :
    What should i do ?
I have to earn extra money for purchase charm or mp food ?
I know some professional people demand me to always borrow extra mp recovery thingy . .
But but . . it's not my fault my MP drain so fast !! hiks hiks b:cry

    The community . . just WoW wOw !! So . . caring people = troll now ?
Not every psychic is sage and when they use SoV specially to annoy people . . it's different from giving these buff to people that willing to receive it.

That may be so. But mana pots can burn fast with SOV and can be used in one run. Then you have to buy pots again. It all depends on how you use them.
