I bought tokens and sold them as immac hp shards in the AH.. Made like 150-200k per shard for weeks before people caught on and the market died.

Try to think of something new and if you cant copy something successful.

run a few 2-3s -> AH mats -> use coins to starts your biznz. ATM iam selling mid-high mats, tokens + hypers/random TT mats

take time to look at as many catshops/AH as possible, will give you an idea on whats hot on the market and you might find easy and cheap ways to get and resell for profit

Seriously, some guy in HT was buying loads of them for 700K

... and I have no idea why, but i'm not complaining. That's some really expensive fashion or mount...

lol so my efforts are failing... i sold my 200 tokens, but I'm not able to buy them back cheaper xD came back to check shop to find that ppl around me had raised their prices

although technically token prices should be dropping as more tokens are fed into the game. plus there are things that tokens can be traded for that are controlling their prices, such as wine that can be turned in for 100k making tokens worth 10k ea or less, and tokens of best luck can be turned in for 10m so we will see xD

Which why i am always wonder those super merchant electric bill . . b:surrender
I once hooked up my old junky Celeron merchanting laptop to my ammeter and found that it was using about 35 watts of power when running PWI.

    35 watts = 0.035 KW
    1 KW/hr = $0.07
    0.035 KW * $0.07 = .245 cents per hour

So that's about 6 cents per day, or about $1.76 per month.

Average merchanting income tends to be (conservatively) around 150 Gold per month, so that means I'm paying about 1.17 cents per Gold.

There's a lot of competition in token vending right now Aelric... what, about 10 catshops at West banker alone? The economy is also changing to who knows what. In my opinion, that's going to make it harder for you starting out.

Stick with the tokens and try what the others have suggested here, along the way I would suggest keeping your eyes open for a market that's a little less competitive. I've made good money in the past in room 46 in cube. I also watch the AH a lot, keeps me familiar with prices in general. I regularly check the first few pages just to see if there are any good deals. Someone sold me a lvl9 genie xp cube for 35k the other night.

I recall one night recently, about 10 pieces of black female fash (tops, bottoms, shoes, etc) went into the AH all in a row, all were 1m buy. I felt sorry for the person getting their account cleaned out, so I screenshotted it, then I made some profit, lol
    About 15m, actually.

yeah I'm starting out with about 3m, so that makes it that much more difficult, including the unstable economy. thanks for the advise though ^ ^

lol people always make it sound soo easy :P I attempted to do gold trading, but making only 1k-5k profit per gold isn't very good

Being a trademutant isn't easy; you basically need to know all the prices and stay up to date on them. It's pretty much a "living in the game" type of thing.

Most likely, you'll also have to go through the 10 million catshops. I mean, come on --- buying items from the top of the list in the AH (=cheapest) and putting them back in at the bottom (=most expensive) isn't going to do you much good :-) So ripping off people really only works with catshops.
Slow progress, game is getting way too grindy :-( Quests I still hope to be able to do some day: FB39, General Feng

i really wish more people could learn to use the ah... it is sooo much more convenient than the catshops

More people might if there wasn't a coin tax for listing and a sales tax when an item sells. I only use AH to sell when I'm trying to get rid of something quick, or if I'm selling something really rare/valuable. Best bet by far is to have one catshop with good deals in the same place 24/7.

i put all my TT mats in the AH, and eventhough they are probably underpriced to what catshops are selling, they sell fairly quickly and im happy about that lol... I can grind for some cash, and farm TT, now the only thing holding me back is figuring out how to merchant. what I've heard from most people is that its best to merchant things that you are already around alot, things you like to buy, which for me that would be tokens haha i dont buy much of anything else besides some fash (male fashion has a horrid market though) from people.

What you're missing is scale. Making 100 million coins a month may seem like a lot, but the person may have 300 million already. If we translate that to you with only 3 milion and you achieve the same level of success relative to what you have (percentage wise), you'd be making only 1 million per month. 10% return on 100 mil is 10 mil, while 10% return on 1 mil is only 100k. The more you have, the more you can make.
