Banquet Reservation Help

After getting married, my wife and I tried reserving a banquet date at the Wedding Usher. Upon trying to drag the Banquet Reservation into the slot in the date window, I found that it wouldn't work. The reservation won't lock into the slot. I was the leader, and it was only my wife and I in the squad. We switched leaders and then she tried, still to no avail. The date and time were not yet reserved. Help? The time on our reservations is counting down.

what i had to do was pick a date then maniacally click the button that starts with a Q lol
