How 'bout this. If you don't use the search option. And post a thread about a topic that has been repeatedly posted relatively recently. You get banned from forums. Maybe a week, month, forever. Based on the # of times you have repeatedly posted the same damn thread.

Well, that wouldn't be involved in the matter of this suggestion, so you can just step off it, for one. If you want to talk of that you can make your own thread suggesting that's what mods do. This is a thread on what can be involved in the forums themselves to either make people more aware or take away how often these situations occur. Keep in mind that many of the repeat threads (not all, I'm aware) are from people who are either new to forums, this game, MMOs in general or any combination of the three. Some may not be aware that there are actually rules to the forums though they are to agree to them when joining (I believe. Its been a while since I signed up, obviously.). As well as some people may not know how to navigate our specific forums. Some things on here, believe it or not, can be hard to locate, especially if you're frantically trying to get help and can't think quite straight. As well as while a thread may seem like a repeat to you there may be a minor difference that is insignificant to you but means everything to the poster and may not be covered specifically anywhere else. For instance, trouble getting the game to work. You may have searched everywhere and tried everything possible to get things to work, but there's on minor difference about how your computer is acting that makes all the difference and changes your solution. But looking on the surface anyone may see it as a repeat thread. Someone should not be punished for that. As for myself, the only repeat threads I really see are the ones that are questions being asked by nooblets who are stuck, and I have no problem helping them out, unlike some people who don't take pity on others. It may be against the rules, but obviously the mods aren't that heartless. Seem they take it more as a guideline, which I'm all for having.

All that aside, if they were as harsh about the rules as you're suggesting they be, you'd be gone long ago for harassment and spamming. Mostly harassment.

And a "repeat posting" would be... "Where is this NPC?", or such classic examples such as "Embracing who we are", or "Please stop posting the same topic". Who knows how many of that 3rd one I've seen.

If you don't care, don't read it. In fact, don't even acknowledge its existence. You only make yourself look more stupid by responding to something you say you didn't read, which you obviously did anyway.

As for your question, as to why its irrelevant is because its already a 'rule' not to post repeat threads and its said right in those rules that it can result in bans. Its already implemented, its just up to the discretion of the mods, so your suggestion is pointless. You may as well suggest 'Mods need to do their jobs better.' Which I may actually support you in, because in just this one day I've seen so many occurrences of breaking the 'rules' that just in that short time I'm losing faith in them since they've been happening in even the newest threads of the day. Not only that but if they were doing what they say they'd do, you'd be long gone and I wouldn't have to be dealing with you and your harassment any longer.

Actually, I've felt plenty harassed by you just today, both directly and indirectly. And I have no doubt in my mind that you could act intelligent. In fact, I'm sure you very much are, but you just have too much fun trying to make people frustrated to act it. Its a shame, really. Unfortunately, you're after the wrong person to get that kind of reaction from.
