I have never had lag or DC issues this bad prior to the patch.
Then today I've lagged out four times just trying to get from Arrowhead->Tusk Town->Dreamweaver on WQ route.

    i have noticed that too.. i can grind normally for a few mins, but then lag strikes and its impossible to do anything..and then dc afc. Tho when i notice this huge lag, i restart client and then seems to be everything ok b:cute

    but that never happend before this patch.

    over nineteen seconds of round-trip time?! somebody threw an RFC 1149 hop in between you and Heaven's Tear. :-/

    well, you should still be able to do the daily schoolteacher check-in at least... even if nothing much else, reliably. b:chuckle

    And then the massive lag spikes hit.
    19k is the highest, but I've been seeing red marks from 6-10 regularly.

    Oh who even knows. I'm just pointing it out as evidence of some major issue since the most recent update. If anyone else has gotten some ridiculously high number, feel free to post.

    There have been a few reports of server lag while in vent faction... what I mean is that several different people from different locations experiencing lag at approximately the same time. It could be some of that or intermittent lag issues somewhere between the server and your computer. It's really not uncommon.

    With 30-40 fps on your client, it's unlikely that it's on your end.

    Since when does FPS have anything to do with network lag?

    Actually on Friday 5-Aug-2010 I got disconnected from my distance-learning classes at an alarming rate in the EST early afternoon when I've never been disconnected in the 8 months of classes previously conducted. The disconencts cleared up later in the day but our professor noted that there was solar flare activity going on that could impact sensitive electronics (like major switching routers for the big Internet service providers that contribute to the infrastructure backbone). If you get bad spikes again you might want to check the Internet Traffic Report site and see if it's a general phenomenon or something specific to you or PWI.

    PA's logs seem to show normal, but I'll admit that my local ISP is spotty at times. What I really don't understand is that while this massive lag-spike in game was taking place, forums and websites would operate just fine. My router indication would occasionally bounce to show "Router not connected" or "Router connected, but the internet cannot be found." And meanwhile, basic web services operate normally.

    Maybe I'm just quick to blame PWE for yet another shortcoming in this fail patch, but I know what my usual ISP troubles look like, and they've never had that kind of effect. At one point during WQ, I was hovering over Sanctuary for five minutes with no NPCs in sight, and suddenly found myself snapped back to the middle of Wraith Swamp - before even passing the Wraithgate entrance. Rubberbanding is one thing, but five-minute teleport?
