I'm asking this for a friend because he doesn't have internet right now
does a barbarians magic have anything to do with the power of his attacking skills?

    Tell your "friend" no it does not, in fact it doesn't benefit Barbs at all, unless you are arcane...

    Putting magic is the worst to do. He will cry at higher levels for free points (that are needed for gears but also survival).
    Best option is Vit, as others said.
