I heard rumors that the payment in the chinese server for tw's has/gonna be changed to mirage celestones. I would like to know what your opinion is about this. I think its a good way to get the economy back to normal, cause at the moment new gold keeps flowing into the economy and u create inflation on long terms.

Economically speaking, that would work to bring the coin inflation down. But a lot of people would probably be mad because there will be too many of them at that point, and they won't be worth it to sell.

So, to me this just creates another problem. Maybe I'm missing something though, haha.

There was an amazingly huge post on this....b:surrender

However, you are correct in what you read. The CN servers have announced the changes to the TW system on June 24th...

I don't feel like searching for everything again, but if you like it is here (I was too lazy not to use this translator...and did not feel like finding or typing a better one -.-).

Yes its already been announced on CN-server.

    Its 100 mirages for a lvl 3 land, 200 for lvl 2 and 300 for lvl 1.

Unless they make mirages a lot harder to come by, this means TW wont be so much serious business anymore since big guilds wont be that motived to win. Or no one will care lol.

Who wants to waste 3-4 mil worth of hp-charms/attack charms/pots if the reward is a couple of mirages. Than you might as well go waste the charm on pvp instead, than you can at least get pk-drops. I guess lvl 1 lands like 1k will still be fought over since you want the pots.

Pretty curious how the economy will be affected tho. Every week there is around 450-500 mil in game coins coming from lands. Thats a lot of coins being pumped in to the game since servers opened, since no real coin sink around. Obviously there is far more coming from 10 million notes and extacy/excitement cards. But i do think removing it might have an effect in the long run.

Those payments do seem ridiculous... The number of mirages is so low they're unlikely to even impact prices, already hovering near NPC value.

TW brings 570m per week into the economy. By comparison the Nein event brings on average 616m per week just in ecstasy and excitement cards to the top 5 of each class (a lot more if you count mirages too). Kinda funny noone complains about that as much b:chuckle

It would not be an issue if players weren't so greedy and their first thought when they see an item is "How much can I sell this for?"

Tons of mirages would be a good thing. No flooded cash from TW, no overpricing them (not that anyone is anyway but you get my point)

TW would be a waste of time. I already spend 6mil + each weekend on TW and get about 3.5mil a week from it.

If they do this they need to implement a way to get charms that aren't stupidly overpriced.

Wow, that's hard to read ... b:chuckle First impressions:

    1) New bidding system sounds interesting. Not sure it's better or worse, but it will definitely have an impact.

    2) It sounds like they're saying if you hold multiple territories, you can be triple attacked. It's not clear to me how this one is a change. I've always felt that you should be able to have all of your territories attacked at the same time -- no 3 war limit -- but I know most people disagree.

    3) The "rewards" sound idiotic and like yet another attempt to fix a problem that doesn't exist by creating even worse problems.

Well since it was the players botting and gold farming PW-CN that brought things like this on, I imagine that they will just start losing a lot of people. The point is to balance it back out on the CN servers.

Unfortunately, because they haven't figured out how to code two separate games, we get the **** end of the stick as well. Started with DQ prices dropping, and now it is this.

dunno why no1 else has said this yet,

its all a marketing ploy, to do TW u need a charm, to get a charm u need to cash shop, charms are used mostly in TW, TW gives cash so ppl buy charm which = less cash shopers since big TW factions get an army of money anyway.

so less TW income = less money for charms = more ppl buying zen for charms b:bye

b:surrender I have a better translation, was just too lazy to get it -.-

    Let me find it....b:sweat

Edit --> Here you go, this is one from a fellow forum poster, forgot who though.
    Rules of TW:
1.There will be no more System Annoucements saying which faction and how much they have bid on a land
2.Minimum bid amount is now:100k coins and maximum bid amount is 2billion coins
3.Each Land can be bid on by multiple guilds. Results of who the highest bidder is will be announced on Thrusday. As per normal, the winners of the Territory War will be annouced after the battle
4.If a faction bids for a land unsuccesfully, there will no longer be a refund of coins to the faction
5.If multiple factions bid the same amount on a piece of land at the end of the bidding time, the faction that bids the earliest will win the bid.The rest of the factions who lost the bid will not be refunded

The above mentioned rules will make Territory Wars more exciting, allowing the playstyles and strategies of players to become stronger and even more showing how players manage their logistics.

    Wait,there's more about TW

    Time Rules

If a faction holds multiple lands, the system will organize the battles based on the times that the bidding factions decide to fight.

Example:Faction A has multiple lands and Factions B,C and D want to attack the lands of Faction A.So,if Faction B,C and D decide to attack the lands of Faction A at the same time, the System will as much as possible put the 3 battles at the same timings

The change of the rules is mainly to increase the difficulty of defending multuiple lands and to increase the intensity of Territory Wars and tactics required in Territory Wars, allowing all faction to have a chance to participate in the exciting Territory Wars

    AND wait,there's even more

    Prizes of TW:
1.Weekly cash rewards will not be given out and it will be changed to in-game Equipment
2.Before giving out the Equipment rewards every week, the System will choose a land to receive a special prize.

The new prizes will allow the faction to expand in power.Mirage Stones are a must in refining to increase the refinement level of Weapons and Armours. When a weapon is refined, its attributes will be guranteed an increase. Also, the randomness of getting the Ultimate Prize increases the fun and interestingness of Territory Wars and allowing Factions with less land to get the Medal Of Honor

Just checked it. Its right, they have it. on the "value" thing on Territory map it says:

    [chinese words](150) for lvl3
    [same chinese words](200) for lvl2
    [same chinese words](300) for lvl1

i guess those chinese words mean mirrages :P

This sounds much better than the way I interpreted it. In fact, it's pretty much how I'd like it to work, with the possible exception that it might (can't really tell) still be limited to 3 wars at a time. In my ideal world vision, if you have 20 lands and 20 people want to attack you at once, tough luck for you.

I'm not really thrilled about removing refunds. TW is already expensive enough. If you remove the coins for holding territory and then also eliminate bid refunds, you make it almost pointless to play.

I still think the rewards sound horrible, especially if you imagine trying to divide it up among the 80 people who went to war, or even worse, across your entire faction.

I totally hate the idea, and I spend about 2.5mil a weekend on TW.

Friday, 3 hour defense, 1 gold HP charm, 1 silver

Saturday, easy rolls, 1 bronze lol

Sunday, 3 hour attack, 2 gold HP charms.

And I get 3.5mil a week from TW, so if I'm lucky and I can get the golds for 1.5mil and the silvers for 750k, then I'm looking around 6mil a week in expenses plus the time spent farming herbs/getting P stones/etc.

So yea, I doubt I'm in it for money.

You think bug fixes and content updates are slow as they are now? Split the dev and support teams and require that they work on two different code bases at the same time?

It takes 3-4 weeks for them just to make the localization changes, which would end up putting us 2-3 months behind the CN servers if they were to do that.

Be careful what you wish for is the proverb that crosses my mind. b:bye
