you can ... but ... yea ... its probably not the best, id either go all robe or all LA if you were gunna do that xD just my opinion though.

its not bad to keep a set of arcane though, incase you need to tank like a magical boss or something.

Many veno's I know that are LA/HA that have the magic for their weapon of current level, usually keep 2 sets of armor.

1 set LA and another set AA. Because you are a ranged character, many mobs will do ranged attacks to you which usually ends up magic damage, with the exception of a few archer mobs (or poo flinging monkeys). So using part of a set won't really prove very benefitial. Myself have a 62 Heavy/Robe veno and keep both sets. I normally use either heavy or arcane at one time to get the best of what I'm currently doing.

You don't necessarily have to do what I'm doing, and mixing armor's has their benefits, but I don't see much of an advantage to it while mixing LA and AA. If anything you should choose 1 main set of armor, and keep that up-to-date as a priority, and keep the second set as optional upkeep. If you're going to do this I suggest keeping LA as the cheaper upkeep because the purpose of LA is to increase physical defense and all armor has a phys resistance stat regardless of the magic resistances so it would be alot easier to find, (not to mention 3 stars have a chance to get better phys resist than TT equips)

Now if you're talking about wearing LA armor and wearing an arcane wristguard for -6% channeling, go for it, thats a minimal sacrifice in the phys defense for more damage, and I've seen many do this.

OK with all serious talk aside if you're gonna do it for the fun of it, its a game, enjoy it :)

LA is fail fail fail. We're not Sins or Archers. AA or HA are the only sensible choices unless you like wasting coin to make something work.b:chuckle

LA really just doesn't have much to offer. You'd be better off mixing HA and AA or going for a full set of either one. AA would be the easiest to manage until maybe 80-90+.
