Guild name ok with GMs?

Ok..I wanted to make a new guild/faction and I wanted a name like no other...so I thought of keeping to tradition and used a chinese name..but I wanted to ask before I make it..can I use chinese lettering? Would it be fine? The name I had in mind was 死亡 which means Death in Chinese. So would this be fine to use? or does all faction names have to be english?

    I've heard of factions getting disbanded because of foreign symbols. Do a search and find something.

    Translate the symbols into english letters and they'll allow it(I think)

    Dont listen to them...
    You can have it but you cant get an icon for it ever if you do

    Just type them in common chat and look above your head to see if it looks right, some symbols arent in chat font but in game text font, its weird I know, just try doing a heart (alt+3 ♥) and it shows as a box in chat box but a heart over your head

    Although uncommonly enforced, if a GM sees or someone reports it, you'll most likely have to disband it.

    Last year or so, I had a faction in named Transcendant and it was in Chinese characters. Few months after having it, GM told me it wasn't allowed and I was to disband it.

    So, no, it is not allowed, although, nowadays, I'm not really sure seeing that there are factions everywhere that has weird characters in the faction name, Chinese or not.

    Actually it's not allowed, really. Spoons mentioned it more than once, and I've wrote to Frankie about it and got similar response.

    No, its not allowed. This is because its an international version, not a Chinese version according to the GMs that answered a different thread. I think its extremely stupid though. only English allowed in an ----> INTERNATIONAL<--- version. Its NOT an English version but INTERNATIONAL!! ;D

    To be technical, the definition of International applies both ways.

    Ok you're a dumbass, don't say **** you don't know. I AM chinese for a matter of fact I just live in the United States with my family who moved here FROM CHINA. As for it being international english only? Idiot as well, there are many different languages going around here. Spanish, German, French. You name it. International applies to North America, South America and Europe. I can't play the chinese version due to the fact I live in the United States I'd be IP banned. That's why I asked if I could make a guild with chinese characters but I see now I can't.

    Yep, sorry, but Chinese characters are not allowed in faction names.
