good resources: wiki's pet list and the database.
i went there too at lvl 9, it was hard but i got there, but i couldnt go back cause i didnt realize that u could teleport back to lost XD0 -

What do you do? Take a break and go back ? or wait till the next day.
Trust me, questing is a lot more boring/annoying/troublesome than grinding.
Questing makes you travel all over the place, where as grinding, you're in one spot killing everything. If one quest gonna make you travel back and forth for 14,000xp for about 1h, you can make that in 30min in the very spot you're in from just grinding.
And Crazy Stone is not that great.
Then there is the the evil lvl range of 35-40 where you run out of quests. So to combat that, you save all your earlier 30 quests and run them with the tiny 35-40 quests you get to make it less painful to get to 40.
50-60 is where it gets annoying. A plathora of collection quests which IMO is the worse kind of quest in the game. Hello to killing 10 mobs for 1 drop(it can happen) when you need 30.
Sometimes kill quests gets annoying too because, depending on your class, you're fighting a mob that you "naturally" have trouble dealing with.
I don't about beyond 65, but I know at that point in my playing career I grown sick of questing.0 -
Sounds like a harash road :P.
Will it pay off? xD
Glacial walker or Magmite? I have a glacial right now.
Also, how do i get more pet bag space? These quests to expand slots, are they hard? Cost real cash?0 -
The first couple of slots aren't so bad. Though farming hay is annoying.
The fungus slot take sa LOT of fungus and basically forever to get.
Cages (cash shop) have to be used after that, and CAN be used before that.0 -

Beyond 65....let's just say you're wishing you had quests to do again....the higher you go the less quests you get, and the more mobs to kill per quest. I started calling it "my I'm not grinding I'm lvling the pet quests." b:surrender b:surrender Bah...by my lvl you're too "busy" doing the long BH1 and BH2...RB, Nirvana, TT, helping out...[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
I wish i can be your level, then I can a lot of variety of spells to use and pets .0
-
That's weird. I can't edit my previous post....erm. Anyways, I've reach level 30, should I catch an air pet now?
Currently I have a dark wanderer, glacial walker ( i train them both up alternatively so they'e level 30 as well ). However, how do I expand my pet slots?....Should I get a water pet too? That means another slot... I heard it's expensive? Sometimes my quests want me to fight bosses, and air ones are a pain cause I can't do anything but sit around and wait for someone to help....(can take hours). And I feel really bad asking others for help just because I can't expand pet slot/catch an air pet.0 -
Your first air quest is at... 33 I think? Maybe 34. You'll want an air pet then, at the latest.
Ah, must have been 34, since I used a foxwing for it.
Pet bag slots:
You get a few quests, or you can use cages to expand even further. Talk to the pet manager about this - the first quest wants hay, the next quest wants fruit.
However, the other thing you can do is use the pet manager and put your pets back into eggs when you're not using them.
That works especially well for the water pet, which you rarely need and almost never do you need without knowing in advance.0 -
to expand your pet bag, talk to any pet skills trainer about quests. it's the same pattern as expanding your bank safe, there are two options --- either buy a cash shop item and give it to the pet skills trainer, or gather annoying numbers of in-game items to give her instead.
the first expansion slot can be had for twenty hay, which is most easily gathered when you're in your 2x levels. the second costs fifty fruit, which tends to drop from mobs around level 40. the third costs a hundred fungus, which i haven't seen drop yet.
water pet --- most folks would say don't bother, there aren't enough things to do underwater; if you find you need one, just egg another pet temporarily and tame whatever water beast is nearby, use that until the job's done, then get rid of it. there's one possible exception, that being the weekly Dragon Temple Raid event, which is PK-enabled and underwater. if you get to level 60 (which you have to be to get into the event) and find you really like doing it, keeping a water pet for it might be handy.
there's one air pet you can catch even before you can fly yourself. around bamboo village, which is SE of plume city on the shore of plume lake, there are petite sawflies --- a level 8 air mob --- which fly so low, you can attack and tame them if you're standing on the right hilltop. if leveled up to your own level, these are supposedly quite useful damage dealer pets, too.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC] Heaven's Tear alts: KenLubin, Sou_Hon, JudyCaraco --- level 5x chars.0 -
Should I take off my dark wanderer or collect 16 more hay?0
-
you're level 30; if i were you i'd collect up the hay as soon as possible, before too much more leveling put a crimp in those drop rates. try the blue rhinodrakes west of archosaur, they drop hay fairly well.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC] Heaven's Tear alts: KenLubin, Sou_Hon, JudyCaraco --- level 5x chars.0

^That fly tanked goldwing and his 2 buddies at the same time and he took down Farng(I'm not kidding..I was only goofing off that time too). I totally underestimated that little bugger.
Also, Soul Transfusion = nil mp pot usage and I like that0 -
Okay got my 3rd slot. 50 fruits for the next one... get real...
got my petite sawfly, how do i level it faster?0 -
Just.. kill stuff that is its level or higher. (There's some level100 stuff that's easy to kill in the tideborn lands, but at your level you really don't need to waste time there)
Oh, and of course make sure it's got 500 loyalty or more.0 -
Somewhere outside City of Raging Tides there are some small flying lvl100 mobs. They have elemental immunity which means only melee will work on them. They have little HP and just run away. They die in a couple of hits but your pet still gets full exp. That's where everybody train their air pet now[SIGPIC]http://i.imgur.com/MtwcqjL.png[/SIGPIC]

LEVEL 100!?
How much hp do they really have?0 -
Ha ha don't be scared. They don't even try to hurt you and their defence is low. I'm not sureabout the HP... they probably have 300HP or something. I may be wrong. I haven't been there for a while.
For a lvl81 windwalking piggy it took 1 hit for the mob to die.
PS. They look like fireflies from far away but they are actually a tiny glowy version of petite sawfly.[SIGPIC]http://i.imgur.com/MtwcqjL.png[/SIGPIC]

Oh i see. Omg you got a wind walking piggy? I wanted one but it didn't spawn :P.0
-
Ah they spawn every 12 hours.
Check the auction house and look at every rare pet. If it says 23-20 hours left for the eggs it means that the pet has just spawned. (This is because Venomancers usually put the eggs in AH as soon as they tame them). If it says 12-5 or even a few minutes it means the pet hasn't spawned yet. It's not always and completely reliable but checking on multiple rare pets it will certainly give you an idea of what the spawn hour could be. Just got there half an hour or 15 minutes or whatever before the estimated time. If there are Venomancers there (even just one) it means the pet is going to spawn soon. If there are no Venomancers there keep waiting as some of them appear just a minute before the spawn.
You will have some trouble with the high level Venomancers who have a lot of -channeling gear and can literally use the tame pet skill in a second but they often fail too so you might get it. It requires some skill but a lot of luck too. If you'll try to tame it by yourself, I wish you best of luck b:victory[SIGPIC]http://i.imgur.com/MtwcqjL.png[/SIGPIC]

Then i think it ain't possible then :P.
Sigh I wanted a cute flying pet too... and I'm not rich xD.
Thanks anyways. What are those mobs called the level 100 ones? I can't seem to find it on the database.0 -

You are looking for Staunch Worms. Never been there myself, even when my Sawfly was behind --- it's most likely a waste of time just like hunting for rare pets. The area is most likely crowded with filthy rich Venomancers leveling their Phoenixes.Slow progress, game is getting way too grindy :-( Quests I still hope to be able to do some day: FB39, General Feng0 -
^no, it's mostly empty(on our server). I've been leveling my sawfly there the past 3 days. I've seen only 2 people with a nix there, and they were both AFK. The only competition I had was with someone leveling a flying pig, but they themselves couldn't fly, so I took all the top ones.
I've kinda stopped going there though, and just attack regular mobs with it.0 -
Well, I'm on raging tide. level 32. so yah!?0
-
your lvl is fine.
The pet wont miss. But the damage will be low for a few levels. At pet lvl30+ the killing gets faster.0 -
You can also use the MQ mobs the flying bats near Hidden Orchid...although I would go on a day that the MQ is not there, the bats are there 24/7. They're a bit more health than the worms in TB area but if it is over crowded might be another area to check out.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0
