Getting New Laptop, Opinions Plz :)

As the title says I'm getting a new laptop. I was looking at this.

    that system be powerfully weak.

    Intel chipset......eww~
    ~2.20 GHz single core CPU (this processor probably will work seeing how pretty much all games currently only need 1 but that be rather slow for a single core)......

    You don't mean to really play any modern games on your system?

    Sorry I never really knew anything about computer specs, the HD screen just caught my eye lol... Actually I never had to know anything about computer specs, until now anyways. Anyone recommend a better model on a budget of $400?

    Look around for Acer or Asus. Here in Bulgaria they are pretty good machines.

    It depends on what kind you're going for, on that budget, you can try to get a everyday or a premium one at that much you're going for.

    I just want a laptop with HD screen, decent disk space, and a good graphics card. Blue-ray wouldn't hurt either...

    Anything would be a step up from what I'm using now.

    Well look up your local stores online and see what they have and look at specs of them as well, one with HD 720P (1366 x 768) or 1080P (1920 x 1200 i think) is more costly even with a blueray drive added to that is a lot more than the budget you have.

    Okay, don't really need blue-ray, but HD is a must have.

    Did you check around local stores online, i know Newegg has some laptops you can afford, try to get one with ATi or Nvidia if you can for the dedicated video memory which means for video memory on the graphic's card itself.

    Intel makes things which me don't even considered to be graphical processing units.

    Just reject out anything that has it's video card manufactured from Intel and go with Nvidia (generally more solid coding) or ATi (generally moar powah).
    Me has used both Nvidia and Ati.

    But now tend to request Nvidia based parts since there be no reason for me to attempt to overclock an already enhanced primitive human technology. (As a human, if you know what you be doing and the limits of the parts, etc, Ati generally be better.)

    Also this be rather random but.....why do humans design their portable systems like that?

    Cramming everything to the bottom? o_O' Would make sense if humans had advanced cooling technology but....they don't so......
    Where be the airflow in that?

    Me suppose it makes it be more aesthetic and convenient to make it bottom heavy so the screen can be open easily. But.....simple technology exists which you already has can make it easy to open......(and the only real problem would be the backwards balance/tilt which be a small price to pay for moar efficiency.)

    Yeah, Intel is mostly for video watching or for a casual laptop for normal things except for games and advanced things that makes use of the GPU.

    Been with both as well, mostly been with Nvidia though.
