One cleric skill question, the skill 'Thunderball', one of guides in the wiki says don't bother with it at all, but I looked on 'Ecatomb' and it appears to have pretty high damage, so, is Thunderball worth getting or not?

Thanks in advance,
Amrynn

You can get it, but don't rely on it and don't level it. Slow casting and minimal damage, and it doesn't exactly do much. You could use it for slowing down mobs with DoT, I guess.

Don't prioritize it, but by your mid 80's you'll have spirit points to waste anyway - and it's not really a horrible skill. In certain situations it can make a decent opening attack.

It has its uses, but it really is better to use in the later levels when your gear is enough to juice it up nicely. Thunderball---> sleep = sleeping player taking damage, its fun to play with never the less lol

You should only get it to get the next skill, which requires Thunderball. It's not very helpful at all. However, if you're amused by really little things like me >.>
You can try what KanariaRose suggested. But don't level it at all. It's very slow casting. Besides, in the time that Thunderball is going to do damage, you would've done a whole lot more damage with your other skills.

It's great to cast for targets you are going to sleep. The damage over time won't wake them up. As said before, it has its uses, like harassing a barb's charm b:chuckle

thunderball is nice in creating a full metal chain attack to use when an archer casts metal debuff.

element seal->cyclone->wield->cyclone->thunderball->cyclone(or wield with high -channeling)

nice thing is, when the metal debuff wears off, it still affects the thunderball dot.

the combo also works well against wood mobs and bosses.
    and bro...fyi this isn't a story.

We have the better lvl 100 skill for a full metal chain at end game =P
Thanks Chillum for the nice Sig.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

wouldn't you need almost 5k weapon damage for the lvl100 skill to come to par with sage/demon thunderball.

I like Thunderball. It keeps my full metal macro from messing up with my high channel. Plus it keeps the metal debuff from Wield Thunder from casting over itself. b:dirty
