Client version too low?

After I have entered my user name and ps a message pops up and something a long the line of my client's version being too low and need to be updated. However, the patcher says that it fails to connect to serve so I was wondering how this problem could be fixed?b:surrender

    Make sure that any firewall and/or anti-virus software you may have isn't preventing the patcher from connecting to the server. Alternatively, you could try downloading the manual patch from http://pwi.perfectworld.com/download or http://pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=87242
