An Item selling in AH for less then the original price

Alright so I put a TT80 mat in the AH for 150k and the item sold for 142.5K. How is that possible?

    There's a fee, putting an item on sale in the auction house costs you a bit of gold. In your case that fee was 7.5k since you only got 142.5k

    You has to pay the "fee" to Don hamster.

    Well there is a fee for even putting something in the AH. So there is another fee ontop of the one you pay upfront?

    I didn't know this but yes, according to http://pwi-wiki.perfectworld.com/index.php/Auction_House :

    "There is also a second fee to be aware of - which is a fraction of the fee the item actually gets sold for. If this is larger than the up-front fee you already paid, then it gets taken out of the coins sent to you by the auctioneer.
    You need to be aware of these commission fees when you set your prices."

    I think there's some % taken out of what you get, on top of the fee.

    Don't use AH then. Catshop it.

    only thing, selling via shop takes 4 ever, items are hard 4 buyers to find, and will cost you more $ in your electricity bill, for having to leave your pc on 24/7 b:angry b:cry, LOL!

    True, but I abuse our faction catshop and sell everything through it. And i'm kind of one of the only people to use it, besides the leader and director lol. So i don't pay for electricity, they do :)

    And yea, I am starting to sell through AH haha. I put some items in there and most of them sold in like 6 hours. Even terrible items with crappy addons (fair prices too). Just add a little bit on top of the selling price to counter the fees.
