Tabby vs Kowlin

Hi,

If you compare the defense and attack of those 2 pets at lvl 60. Which one is better.

I can get flesh ream for 600k from 1 to 4, which is cheaper than paying 1mill to buy kowlin.

If anyone has the stats of those 2 pet at lvl 60 or any other lvl, that would be helpfull.

As far as magic and physical defenses, the shadou cub wins hands down.

The kowlin is the fastest but they are weak on def and die on most lures.

The tabby is a bit higher on def but not as fast.

Get a shadou cub , pimp it out with flesh ream and roar or howl to make it keep agro and you have a great all around pet. =]

No. A walker - or even the pre-tideborn favored tank pet, a magmite - is better than a cub on most stats. The only real advantage a cub has is that it's faster, and it's easier to see around. Oh. And it's cute.

The cub has great hp, really good pdef and mdef, but poor attack.
The magmites have great hp, attack, and pdef; but poor mdef.

The walker pretty much fixes the problem with the magmite. It has great hp, attack, and pdef; and its mdef is ok.

For cuteness, kitten > cub > kowlin > walker > magmite. The clawing motion the kitten makes when attacking is just adorable.

Actually the kowlin doesn't die on most lures if your timing is good. Kowlin has been my luring pet since lvl 70s when I got it. I even used it in BH79 luring when it was just lvl 73 and it did just fine. Of course I don't deny it has died while luring bosses or a mob that's surrounded by too many mobs but I've saved it most of the time. In case the boss/mob is too hard for the kowlin like Stygean I use the armored bear. Though I still manage to pull Stygean with kowlin a lot of times.



I think Tabby and Kowlin are pretty much equal. A bit of higher defence but slightly lower speed vs a bit of lower defence but slightly higher speed. It's pretty much the same.
Personaly I prefer the kowlin because it's bigger and it has a signature attack that makes it easier to time it right. In terms of support/attack pet...I don't know since I never got a tabby past lvl 55. If the tabby appears to have better attack at later levels then go for it.
I think the growth stats of kowlin make it have higher attack at later levels though but i'm not sure.

The shaodu cub can do just fine,too though. I agree with MindCrime that it's a great overall pet. I use one myself as the main tank/grinding pet. I taught it bash and roar to be able to keep aggro and take aggro back from me if I steal it (something I do a lot xD) and I totally love its pounce!
