I need help. I have phobia about spiders, and i have to do this mission, what should i do?

    They're pixel spiders...

    Well, in other news, if you really want to do it, turn your textures to the lowest so they look more like pixels than spiders. Or just trash the quest. Come on. It's not like it's a real spider.

    or consider it your revenge on the hateful things, and squish a few extra just to get even with them.

    Don't make fun of him.

    I actually met someone in another game long ago, who was asking me whether there are any spider monsters in the game. His story did sound believeable, as he found himself with a pretty big spider sitting on him at night as a little kid. Nothing poisonous, but still... I could buy it.

    The problem with Arachnophobia of any sort is that MMO"RP"Gs usually have them somewhere in the game. MUCH easier to deal with if there are just a few hidden in some corners (I think PW doesn't qualify for that...) and you have a "real" friend playing with you who knows that you won't be of much help on quests involving spiders. If you're a cleric and doing a quest on the world map you could probably just stay in air and provide healing and buffs for your partner, but that's about it.

    Whether or not the "these are just pixels" aspect of game-spiders, along with the fact that you can just kill them could be used in a therapeutic way is something I don't know. Things aren't always that easy.

    Of course, most quests in Perfect World are not REQUIRED.

    I know that they are pixel spiders, but it's difficult. I can't see them, also in a game.
    If I turn the textures to the lowest, the spiders dissapear?

    Another question: Is there any other quest with spiders or monsters near them?

    turning the textures down might make them less spider-like, but you wouldn't want them to disappear from view --- they'd still be counted as existing, and able to attack and kill you. :-(

    also, i'm afraid there's quite a few quests that involve killing spiders in the game, yes. both directly as the target of the quest, and indirectly as you have to go through spider-like mobs to finish some dungeon or other. for whatever reason, the graphics designers of the game seem to like building spider models. i don't recall offhand if any of them are absolutely necessary, but then i haven't seen anywhere near the whole game myself, so it's quite possible some later-on ones are.
