Hey everyone. Ive seen lots requests and many questions especially from lower levels on what kinda genies and skills an assassin should use.

Well he truth is sins dont need many genie skills at all(provided uve some good gear and pots)
But they can help asve a lot of sweat

Lets discuss teh skills i felt were useful

1. Second wind

This was my bread and butter. At maxed, recovers almost half ur hp bar. Great for emergencies. GET IT!!!!!!

2. Tangling mire

Reduces movement speed by some 25% and phy def by 30% at lvl 10
Useful for bosses but be careful wid normal mobs..its aoe. its worth getting since it has same requirements as second wind

3. Expel

High lvl skill that silences u but also makes u immune to damage..again for emergencies.
wuld need a lvl 60 genie but worth it

4. Frenzy
Great when doing bosses and not having aggro. Reduces defence and increases atak.

5.Thunderstorm:
Awesome for PVP against those pesky barbs. Pretty low cool time too, but requires affinity that prevents other useful skills from being learned. I wouldnt recommend it for first timers.

Thats pretty much all an assassin would need.. Leaf dance gives extra 1% crit hit but its so short duration and less % when compared to the 15% we get at lvl 50s its not much.

As for the genie type.. Zeal is ok for pulling if ur a new player though its not an Assassin's duty to be pulling mobs, since we can do ranged knife throws to pull semi aggro mobs.
I would reccommend a high strength genie for efficiency in second wind, or even a good dex genie if u choose attack skills.

1st. get a str or vit genie
2nd. get second wind (heals 4/5 of ur HP if u have good str)
3rd. put a lot of points on str
    4th. get tangling mire
5th. get rentles courage lvl6 or less
6th. get enought vit to use tangling mire + rentless courage
7th. get holy path only if u have a slot open and keep it only for an emergency cause it consumes a lot of stamina and sins have 2 running skills
    8th. get bramble rage
9th. pray every single day to get a awesome LP genie
10th. put some points on dex to maximize the damage of ur bramble rage

i just ctrl C + ctrl V from an old post that i made bout genie:
    *stealth*...
    HEY APPLE...
    KNIFE!!

I agree with this up to the point of getting bramble rage.
Bramble costs a lot of affinity in two elements
Bramble uses dex not strength, so you would be better to maximize your strength on a str genie.

Personally i have a strength genie with 80 str and 48 vit:
    Second wind
    Relentless courage
    Tangling mire

would also recommend occult ice, holy path

I have a seperate dex genie with 70+ dex and 52 vit for:
    bramble rage
    wind shield
    frenzy

Personally the bramble genie i dont use that often. the str genie does pretty much everything i need, BUT if you want to kill everyone or everything in a group get bramble rage and subsea/bramble/earthrift. almost everything around you will be dead. if its not, then you are dead.

for luring when necessary i have a 3rd zeal genie with a lot of magic and vit with second wind, holy path, and the lure skill.

Earthflame is good to have. When questing, you generally don't want to be fighting 2-3 mobs at once especially early on when you're really squishy. In squads, sins aren't bad lurers. It's usually the sin, barb or bm who lures if there's no veno because all can move fast. I've been asked to lure general wurlord before because I can't be 1 shot.

Not too sure on the pros and cons of second wind vs tree of protection. Right now I have second wind because you get it earlier and it uses less affinity points. But I may switch to ToP to try it out later see which I like better.

Tangling mire is a must. Relentless courage is also good to have. Holy path is unnecessary and takes up a skill slot. If you really want to run away, you have 2 running skills and stealth. The last skill should be either occult ice or absolute domain/expel (assuming you only have a 4 or 5 skills genie). Occult ice if you like to PK other people, AD/expel if you don't want to die to RPK as much.

as far as holy path is concerned it really depends on what you are doing or going to do with it. I rarely use it which is why it is not on my main genie. there are times when it is very nice to have, but as most genie skills it is only a luxery and not a necessity.

The chillum is sometimes referred to as a chalice, based on a quote from the Biblical book of Deuteronomy. Thanks and praises are offered to Jah before smoking the chillum.
