Aside from buying a mount is there a faster way to travel between cities? I know there is an auto-walker when you click the map but it still takes too long.

Depending on your level, there's Teleportation. Ask the Teleport Masters where you want to go. The cost varies of 300 coins to 3000 coins (so far for me).

Also, If you are Untamed, you can transform into a fox/tiger to run faster.

Teleport Masters are pretty noticable, often standing beside a large platform.

Note: You have to UNLOCK the areas from Quests of the Elder, and other stuff before you can teleport.

    G'Luck!

Methods of travel other than mounts and walking:

Teleporting; this is probably the fastest. When you get to a new town/city, talk to the Teleport Master NPC, and you'll unlock the waypoint. From then on, you can pay a fee to another Teleport Master and go to that place. Just watch out, since you can't teleport to any place from any other place. There is a range on the teleports. The only exception is the main towns. You can get to any of the four starter cities from any other once you've unlocked them, and all the major cities have teleports to and from Archosaur. From there you may have to tele multiple times to get somewhere though. And teles can range from anywhere from 200 coins to 8k coins (I think there may also be a few that are 10k, but I haven't seen them, so I can't be sure).

Flying; Once you're lvl 30, you'll get a quest with the reward being a simple flying mount. from then on, you can fly anywhere you want to. It won't be fast, but it gets the job done. There are a few things to note here though: If you're a winged elf (archer or cleric) you have slow wings from lvl 1, and can fly with those. But only clerics have enough mp regen to get anywhere right from the get-go, since those wings cost 2 mp/sec to use. Also, once you hit lvl 20, you can buy certain cash shop flying mounts that can be used at lvl 20, but those do cost real money (or a massive amount of coins that you probably won't have so early in the game).

well, there's teleporting... you know about the teleport masters in most towns that have any NPC's, right?

EDIT: blast, got ninja'd. i'd delete the post, but deletion doesn't seem to work any longer, the forum UI's changed recently and now the "delete" button just throws me an error. :-(

ALSO EDIT: elven archers can fly just fine with their starter wings. a full mana bar can get you from Plume to Archosaur, i think. plenty far enough for everyday needs, or to unlock the next teleport point outwards.

Sorry, for bumping an older thread, but, it is on a similar topic.

    Teleport Waypoint Cost.

I noticed it was 200 from a nearby village to a main town, and 1000 from main Town to another main Town.
I flew around the map with my Cleric (unlimited flight).
I sought out the Teleport person in each town, and the more I find the higher the cost gets.
3000, 4000, 5000, 6000... It is up to 8000 right now, and I still have the left half of the map to go.

Will all of these reduce to 200 or 3000 later?
Or is the cost based on the order to speak to the teleport person?

Because, that is what it has been so far.
I will continue with the quests.
I liked the break from combat and quests, and checked out the surroundings.
It is a good sized map. Not as large as it first looked.
I found a few new areas where it just says "Upcoming". All along the borders, of course, but, a couple of islands too. One to the Far East, the other to the Far South.

Anyway, Teleport Cost, will it go down, only be talking to elder and completing a quest, and is it based on the order I find them in?

Anyone know of a faster way of activating them, other than flying to everyone?

Also, is there a map online to indicate where they all are?
I wouldn't want to miss one after this.

Teleport prices are fixed by location and the same for everyone. That you found them in order from lowest to highest is just a bit of a fluke.

And FYI someone will probably yell at you for "necroing" an old thread, which I don't see as a problem (your question follows quite naturally on the existing one), but in general this forum doesn't like it.

Koltrast got the prices rightly. i'll just note that sometimes the prices are asymmetrical; teleporting TO archosaur doesn't necessarily cost the same as teleporting BACK again.

there's a cash shop item called a "world map" that will unlock all the teleporters in one go, i think it costs about five gold or so. it's seldom bought, most people think it's not worth the money. i agree with those who think it wasteful, myself.

"upcoming" just means "end of the map". game expansions tend to introduce new areas along the edges of the existing old ones, expanding outward, so it's "upcoming" in the sense of "wait for the next expansion" --- which can be a year or more away, at any given time.

there used to be teleport maps online, yes, but since a brand new expansion has added new areas and teleporters just literally yesterday, i wouldn't count on any of them being fully up to date right now. feel free to make one, it'd be a great service.

    Thanks.
Yea. I see some of the map has changed since, yesterday.
Everything South of the City of Plume wasn't there.

What I had found too, was that the teleports were not all activated after I spoke to the Teleport person.
For example, I spoke to one at a village, and it may open a path to one, but, not another village.
The one near the level 101 Basilisks (SandSong Village) wouldn't let me go anywhere with it.
A warning to anyone else who may fly on the West side of the map, there are archers that can hit you from fairly high up. :)

This seemed like a good idea, considering that when you die, you reappear at the nearest Teleport waypoint. It made since to find all of those waypoints, so, I wouldn't reappear way away. I'd recommend flying around the map and activating all of your teleport points to any Cleric, Archer, or anyone with a Flying Mount.
Preferably, at levels below level 10, so, you won't lose any experience points from deaths.
Most of the Flying monsters are not aggressive, but, I did find some near Tusk Town that got me. :)

They have created some very good graphics in this game.
That flying Gods thing in the clouds, near the Arrowhead region, the Thousand Streams Castle, and that city named Santuary, with all of those pink flowers and Bamboo trees.

I was suprised to see no creatures in the lakes to the north to fight.
