Hi I have a level 61 wiz and I did a quest for level 55s. After I completed it and wanted to hand it in, it gave me a error saying, level too high. I don't understand this since I have been doing quests that were 20 level difference. So I don't understand why I keep getting this error. The name of the quest is something Heaven's wear Map Fragments or something, given at Arrowhead mannor. Anyone ever had this issue?

A rl friend, with whom I play the game had this issue as well. Not sure what quest exactly it was, but it was the same error.

    Your title was stupid.
Clearly it's possible if you got it.

Anyways, some quests after a certain level, you can no longer do.
For example, when you have to kill Dismal Shade (I think) you only get two levels to do it. So if you somehow level twice while you're doing that quest, you wont be able to turn it in since your level is now too high.

Certain quests have a level range in which you can get them, complete them and turn them in, and once you are outside of this range you will not be able to turn your quest in.

PW Database will give you the level range for the quest, so you can go and search for your quest in there and see if you've gone above the maximum level at which you are allowed to turn that quest in. So, yes, this is very much possible, and this will teach you/your friend/whoever to not slack off on quests you want to do until ten, fifteen levels later because you're too busy with BH.

This is why I always to all of my quests(excluding oens to stack for dungeons) before I level up, incase stuff like this happens.

i just got the dismal shade one avaliable the other day, and according to the quest description it's time limited to two *hours* after you accept it. possibly it's level-limited too, but i hope not, because i had been planning on spending the next couple levels *not* questing. :-/

Why bother not doing quests at that level ASAP? I think it is a good idea from the devs b:cute

I can kill Dismal for you. :D The time limit is silly. It takes about 5 min to do.

Even if you want to pause questing, doesn't hurt to get the bosses out of your list. They are something you can't do on your own anyway. :)

'cos i was thinking of grinding my last 30 fruit off mobs around angler's village. b:surrender i figure that'll take me at least one level's worth of XP, maybe two... i'll probably take up Anna's offer, though, i'm an obsessive enough quester that the itch will get me...

EDIT: question for the peanut gallery --- what's the _narrowest_ level limit for any quest in the game, does anybody know? is there any quest you have to complete on the same level you first get it?

I really enjoyed the Dismal Shade quest with McAliber. Dual-sword heavy archer ftw (hey, they may suck endgame but it was damn good fun at the time)

If you're referring to the quest where you kill the fire casting guys for treasure maps, then it definitely happened to me too. I had that same quest and just got around to getting all the quest drops yesterday (level 62 at the time). Went to turn it in and was told "level too high". Had no choice but to trash the quest.

Having specific level ranges to be able to turn in quests is stupid, in my opinion.
