well i've been playing a veno for a while but lately after calculating how much it'd be to get a herc which on my server Sof goes for about 7k-8k each which totals out to about 74.9mil in ingame coin it makes me not even want to be a veno anymore.
so cleric are my secondary option and i was wondering are they good at pk and maybe other things idk about plz let me know aso that i could make a decision.
btw i don't mean to sound like a complainer when it comes to getting a legenday. oh and another thing how squishy are clerics because my veno is LA never really played Arcane
thank you in advanceb:bye

With PK, either you're going to be good, or absolute ****.
With squishiness, if you get surprised you die fast. It's a bit of a reflex thing. Once you've got shields up or a good IH stack going, you can live through lots of stuff. You can always roll vit-build or LA if it's that much of a problem.

Vit, and str at lower lvls, rest into mag. You will need STR anyway for gear, and VIT is good for capping to 100+ by 7x, then later reset to pure if you want.

As DeathBanana said, in PK you're either good or absolutely ****.

As a Cleric, expect to be depended on and expect some big bills.
With good gear, a Cleric can be a very competitive player.
Your skills may be limited, but if you use them wisely you can be deadly.

Being squishy isn't that bad when you can heal yourself to full HP in seconds.

A few tips being a cleric:
    1. In squads, priorities are yourself and the tank.
    2. Don't waste pots/time if you know you cant hold off mobs.
    3. Don't heal until the person/tank has hit all the mobs unless you can take some hits.
    4. Don't try to save idiots who draw way too much attention for you to handle.
    5. Don't waste your time with **** squads. Just like a tank, you could get another squad within minutes.
    6. When duelling/PK, it helps to check what gear your opponent has (checking pdef shards, magic resistance, hp, attack/attack rate etc.). (For duelling I BB against archers around my level, they realise their hits to be ineffective and either stop or go in for close range then bam! Out of BB I come and wield thunder then cyclone b:chuckle ) So be creative.

I would say doing a vit build at lower levels is a great idea. I did that because most of the quests you have to do at lower levels require killing physical mobs and if you are pure arcane you can get 2-3shotted. Than once you are at a later level, maybe lvl 40-50, you can start doing a pure magic build.

I've heard that clerics are good at PvP if they level certain skills, like the seals.
As for squishyness, you have 3 options:
    1. Stay pure, and be more aware, have your Wellspring in a highly accessible button. Also you can kite, and shard with garnets in higher levels. With pure you also tend to drop mobs before they touch you, unless they do that mean 2 or 3 for 1 thing.
    2. Go light-heavy vit, this will give you a little to some more HP but take away a little or some from your attack and heal power.
    3. Go LA, which gives you a bit more physical defense, but takes away a considerable amount from your mag attack and puts those points in relatively useless stats for a mag.

Yes, I love PWI that much. Every class is awesome in their own way.

    1. Stay Pure...only until level 8x...start pumping into vita...I have over 120 vita in my build to prevent myself from being 1 shot against the very well geared players. If you stay Pure Magic you will die every time you walk out of SZ or a mob turns his attention on you because your tank sucks or dc's.
    2. and 3... Don't go either...you will lose SO much magic attack/mag resists it won't be worth it.

Arcane Armor is the way to go, reguardless of what people tell you Light Armor is the worst out of the 3. Although it is a "Balance" between the two it has no strong points so you are pretty weak vs both elemental and physical attacks without heavy investment in the cashshopped items.

Arcane armor gives you what no melee class has...massively high elemental resists...you can tank a mage (at least a decently geared one) without being 1 shot crit! Coupled with your mdef buff you have the highest resists potential (self-buffed) in the game!!!

Another thing arcane armor does is give you bonuses to the stats you lack (later game armor and weps give bonuses to pdef and life, if you so choose to go those paths) along with a massive boost to your main damaging attribute, Magic, thus boosting your damage and heal output in the proccess.

However, Arcane armor does have a few shortfalls... Refining it gives the lowest +HP bonus in the game compared to LA and HA of similiar Item Level. This is why going a hybrid mag/vit build help your chances of surviving long enough to get a heal off. The game has to be balanced, which is the reason that Arcane Armor wearers are traditionally squishy (and will always be squishier than their LA and HA counterparts). You can overcome being squishy by sharding for Physical Defensive. Garnet shards will be your AA's best buddy. (with your pdef selfbuff even a G7 or G8 garnet will boost your Pdef by a considerable amount). Archers, Barbs, BM's , and Sins will all give you hell in PvP if you lack Pdef, and even a few garnet shards can boost your dmg % reduction enough to survive that extra hit and beat them (and their charm, in most situations).

Get your life from your Tome, statting in vitality, esp. later levels (whatever you think you can lose in Mag put in Vit, You are no use to anyone PvP or PvM if you die faster than you can react to save yourself or your party), and your refines. Although AA's life refine bonuses are miniscule compared to HA's, you still can gain quite a bit of HP from your late game gears. +4-5 on TT90 and 99 seem to be more than sufficient for me, until I can get around to farming the one thousand nirvana crystals I need to re-roll my TT99 gold.

2 and 3 are options. I dont very much like LA myself. And what was the point of bashing vit build if you have 120 vit yourself? o_O
As for the rest of what you said, people can choose whatever they like. I was just giving the options. And you pretty much repeated what I said about the garnets >_<
