PVP servers. Get kill every second?

Hi. I've been playing around in Heavens Tears a lot and suddenly wonder about the differences with Pvp and Pve servers. I know the basic stuff about turning on and off PvP every 10 hours or so in Pve but my question is, in PvP when u reach lvl 30, are you going to get attack immediately when you step outside safe zone? Assuming I'm lvl 30 and want to do a quest. I need to kill 30 watever. Will players interfer with my training? And also if u play PvP servers, how is it? Thank you :)

    I don't have a character on a PvP server so I can't offer any direct experience, but from what I've read there are plenty of high-level people that will kill you just because you're L30 and there's no chance you could win as it increases their PK count (a bragging right on the currently broken Ranking List) or they get to call you "fail noob" (low RL self-esteem), or just because "Hey you rolled on PvP... if you don't want to get killed then re-roll on PvE". That last one is probably going to be the case most of the time I think... if you roll on a PvP server you should expect that you'll lose some and win some, and that as you get higher in level winning more often is more likely, but on your way to the top, you are always a potential target for someone else. If that bothers you or you think "Hey I didn't do anything to you, why did you kill me?" then perhaps PvP isn't for you. If you can shrug it off without getting all rage-like because "Hey, it's just a game and I knew what I was getting into," then PvP offers an exciting component that is pretty sparse on PvE servers.

    Those that optionally enable PK on PvE servers tend to have very good gear and enable PK because they think they have a low risk of losing; since everyone is enabled at L30 on a PvP server it might be more balanced, but you have no choice to avoid being ganked for whatever reason anyone comes up with including no reason at all; just a random PK. There's a good no-flame (so far!) discussion of PVE vs PVP in this thread with responses from both players on PVE servers and PVP servers on why one would chose PVE vs PVP. Probably worth your time to read if you're on PvE but are thinking of re-rolling on PvP.

    Yes, on pvp servers once you reach level 30 you will be attacked, repeatedly, by chars 10 or so levels above you - often at quest locations. You don't lose xp for these deaths but it will interfere with your playing of the game.

    Better to go pve where you have the option of pvp. There is a 10 hour minimum on remaining in pvp mode - a small price to pay for being able to play the game.

    PvE server = only able to PvP against high level/geared people or if you be one of the geared up/high level people. (Everyone just stays blue named...makes it rather boring.)

    Me prefer dying like.....5 times and then having the option to has fun.

    (srsly me only got killed by others about 7 times while leveling from 1-60 and this be before the 3 BH/hyper exp.)

    Although, me not sure me count since me be one of the few that actually use brainpower and know how to avoid people...(people don't home in on you unless they really has no life.) O_o

    PvE server's PvP be pretty much TW and dueling *except dueling isn't really pvp lols* (just going to get dominated and limited by the strong ones of the server.)

    There are certain areas where you get killed more than others because they are where a lot of red names camp. Places like hidden orchid, tusk town and the swamps are the main ones at least on LC. Once you get out of these areas, then getting RPKed is pretty rare. Maybe every once in a while.

    Can it get frustrating? yes expecially if you're trying to complete a quest. But it's not like you get killed every time you step out of safe zone and can't get anything done. Think about the future because once you get end game and bored, you'll be the ones running around doing the killing instead of sitting around in west arch with blues names all around you.
