Wow... this was unexpected! Although it does explain why YouTube exploded my inbox again.

Frankie - Thanks for the recognition! I really do hope this becomes a weekly thing as the newspost indicates, there are a lot of PWI films on the 'tube that deserve mention (hint: Barbs At Large being one of my personal favorites) Also thank you for not banning me over the fat panda. b:surrender I only used him for filming, I swear.

Since I don't expect to see another of my films up there for a while (at least, I hope not, other people need spotlights too!), thought I'd mention that I did make a second Asylum video a few days later.

I'm hoping the Spotlight inspires more people to take up filming, since as last summer's Blockbuster contest proved, there's a lot of folks in this community with talent.
Hm... last video contest was back in September. Maybe it's time for another?

    Es, they gotta say that, so people don't think it's OK to go making playable characters super fat/skinny (or with tideborn hair, which I'm surprised nobody's called that LA wizard out on yet).

    Thanks folks, but I didn't mean to make this thread for more pats on the back (though it's always appreciated, of course!)
    Rather, I'm curious to see how this new Spotlight bit will continue, and what everyone thinks of it. Personally, I'd love to see it become a weekly thing.

    ...and hopefully replace the stupid anime garbage in "featured videos" they have now.

    last time you filmed on HT i wanted to play 'uniformed crowd' part ^.^
    but i had other plans for the day and i dont sign up for things im not sure i can come to... :( (turned out i was on at the time after all but well, too late...)

    Yeah, good job Kephras; We were happy to select your video because we felt that all PWI players would definitely get a kick out of it.

    As for the Video Spotlight series, we'll see if we can do it every few weeks; depending on the quality of the videos themselves. If you guys have a suggestion for a video spotlight, shoot me a PM and I'll check it out.

    Oh and a video contest is certainly not out of the question-- we'll see after the Facebook contest ends :)

    Go for it, Life! There's far too few cinematographers around these days - would love to see what someone else can cook up.

    Frankie - sent you a PM. :) Was kind of hoping it could be a weekly thing, but after giving the 'Tube a quick pass I see that right now you'd probably run out of material quite fast that way. (Most of the entries are either old Blockbuster contest bits, or TW footage. Or mine.)
