Wizards: Demon or Sage?

So I see SO many Wizards debating on whether to go the path of Sage or Demon. I'll also magically turn this into a guide so Wizards who haven't decided which one.

Here are the pro's of both:
Sage: 1) Sage chi skill! Yayy (50 chi every 60 seconds)
2) The effect on Black Ice Dragon Strike (50% chance to improve critical rate by 30%)
3) Effect on Blade Tempest (Has a 50% chance(?) to cost 1 spark)

Demon: 1) Demon Spark effects! (700% weapon damage, 25% channeling increase, and 20% Mana increased)
2) Channeling reduced for Pyrogram and Glacial Snare.
3) Demon taunt skill, which decreases an enemy's chi by 50 every 30s (You'll get a good laugh at the sages)
4) Effect on Stone Rain (20% chance to stun for FIVE seconds)
5) Effect on Emberstorm, our "useless" skill. (Chance to stun, just like Stone Rain)
6) Effect on Will of the Pheonix (Increases the AOE by 50%(?))
7) Random awesome effects on others (http://www.ecatomb.net/pwi/skillpwi.php)

Now here's the cons of both:

Sage: 1) Demons can get rid of that chi and lol @ you
2) Almost all other skills are ****
3) Sage spark only grants 500%, and reduces damage (Which we'll die anyway lol)

Demon: 1) You'll probably have a problem with chi (Unless you have Cloud Eruption)
2) You'll get made fun of for going demon (But you'll show them all!)

This is a very debatable topic, so leave comments wherever you wanna leave 'em. I believe that Wizards go Sage to "Cover up their weakness," which is defense. Also, most of our attacks are used with chi (at least the good ones lol), so there Sage is also exceptionally good. I personally went Demon, and strongly support it. This is because instead of covering up our weakness, we should ADD ONTO OUR STRENGTH, which is "Nuking the s*** out of others." So yeah, see ya guys in-game b:laugh

Js...but if you build your mage right for endgame, being squishy wont be a major problem. so sage isnt really to cover up a weakness

I didn't started point pros for sage, because it would be huge list and I wrote it already lot of time.

Just most important. Mage power depend on chi. I think I don't have to tell more. ;-)

on a serious note, some arguments are still valid but this is mostly for pk or 1vs1. sucks to be targeted a lot in tw's, you die and you have no chi after that or your chi gain in time just sucks. the chance to do more ultis with your chi, the chance to crit more with one of them is more useful that a demon triple spark and single target...

Like, I really care if starting a fight from full spark someone is going to steal 50 chi from me. pff...if he's really that eager to have a chi advantage, I'll cast twice earth barrier to make him happy before the fight

heck, another thread about this b:sad ? nooo ....

*mo tzun taunt is pretty useless

can think only of 1 time when it was of a use

vs marrowed Vit Axe BM (some still exist lol)- *insert 5 minutes of kiting, ticking etc here* - kicking in a anti stun pot, Bm wasting chi on aoe Stun, i destroy the chi he needs for HF with taunt, >demon spark< HP drops

hmmm sage chi skill still of more use in any situation !

Taunting might be fun in a sutra, or in a rare situation where time does not matter, or in a rarer situation where you know that chi is critical.

But I think it's biggest use in PK would be to show someone you completely outclass them -- instead of attacking them, you taunt them.

nice when u able to that, there usefull, but in most situation not really have time for chi skills when have 1 vs1 or 1 vs 2 or just they gain back.

You guys made a HUGE deal about that taunt. The reason I went demon was because I read over ecatomb like 4 times before making my decision. The taunt + demon spark is just a little amusing add to it.

P.S. - The Sage thing about it being 500% was a mistake. You guys are making a big deal about NOTHING.

P.S. #2 - This is a "guide" if you want it to be. I'm just expressing my opinions about this topic, not telling you which path to take.

fact the demon skills better at lv 89/92 (not all but mostly) till sage advatage (example: enough bonus damage from masteries, Bt/Ms/Sbids ) noticeable only later (same about how much worth that 30% eq pdef difference from earth barrier). when u get ur end game eq.

this is why few ppl say if u dont go till 99 better if u go to demon because mostly they get most advantage at lv99- but this dosnt mean if somebody want play seriously with his wizz than sage worse than demon :P
P.S. - The Sage thing about it being 500% was a mistake. You guys are making a big deal about NOTHING.

    maybe its noticeable difference. :P

    P.S.
i dont see too much demon wizz who got enough time for useing 3rd fury, mostly they are forced to use sutra and ulti because harder to collect enough spark and time in real pk if they cant hide in background. (and mostly when ppls see sage or demon 3rd spark then use godline or just fall down, if they was paralyzed then use domain and fall down after that so gl for useing mainly in pve or for backstabbing XD)
