Vanishing NPCs

Sometimes when I target an NPC it vanishes o.0 and I have to relog. Has anyone else encountered this?

    This seems to be happening rather often with bankers in heaven/hell for me.

    Happened to me when I was doing my culti at the Ghost Spirit NPC an hour ago. I didn't know wtf was going on and thinking "How the hell am I supposed to do my culti O.O"

    Apparently, this happens because of lag (its like those broken images you sometimes get in your browser, when you are having connection issues), but I think something else is going on, also, because it happens frequently in lothranis and momaganon and not so much in other place. (And there is nothing like the annoyance of having half of your health gone before you can see the monsters attacking you, and perhaps not having anything targeted even then.)

    But you do not have to relog to get them back. You just need to move out of their range and come back. Like, for example, if the banker is missing, target the post office box and then move away until you lose that target, then come back.
