Pet Locations and a few Questions!

Hello, I would just like to ask where some of these pet locations are, seeing as they are known as some of the best "DPS" and "Tank" pets that aren't named Herc or Nix. I would like the coordinates, if possible. Please, and thank you.

1. Glacial Walkers
2. Varicose Scorpion
3. Quadrastal Beetle

Currently, I have a Crystalline Magmite and a Petite Sawfly. Is it really worth it to shoo my Crystalline Magmite, who is my level, for a LV19 Glacial Walker and go through the painstaking process of leveling him back all over again to my level?

And what is the use of the Quadrastic Beetle, I know people use them frequently but I don't know what for, DPS or Tank?

And do you guys have any ideas of a good DPS pet? I have Crystalline Magmite for Ground Tank, Petite Sawfly for an Aerial pet, and now, I need a DPS pet.

Finally, is it neccessary to get a water pet? Since I hardly have Water Quests and if so, which one and where?

Thank you so much for your help! b:bye

The Glacial Walker may be marginally better than the Magmite, but you shouldn't fret about it. If you like the Magmite, it's plenty good enough.

Glacial Walkers are found in the Tideborn starter area. They are on Barrier Island, a little ways north of the City of Raging Tides. (Not in the red lake; a little further north than that.) If you want to save yourself some trouble, Walkers are often for sale at cat shops in the City of the Lost.

Varicose Scorpions are found around the City of the Lost.

Quadrastral Beetles are also found around the City of the Lost. Now, to be honest, the Magmite and Walkers are better physical tankers than the the Beetle, and also do more damage than the Beetle. But the Beetle has a bit higher magical defence. Also, the Beetle does not come with Bash, so you will have to buy that skill from Mrs. Zoologist, located in Southeast Archosaur. The Quadrastral Beetle KING (which is larger, and pink instead of blue, but has the same stats) does come with Bash, so it can save you a bit of money.

The Quadrastral Beetle is a good pet, although not the greatest. I just prefer it to the Magmite or Walker because I think it's the cutest of the tanking pets.

So the Quadrastal Beetle is unneccessary. Okay. It's not that if I like it or not, I'm just wondering if I should spend so much time training the LV19 back to my level, is it worth it? And is the Varicose Scorpion one of the best DPS dealers not named Nix?

Yes, the Scorpion has the highest damage value of any free pet. The Dark Wanderers on the Island of Broken Dreams also have good DPS, and the Petite Sawfly (City of the Plume) is a high-DPS flying pet.

Again, the Magmite will work fine. You don't need to level a Walker.

lol I went through the same crisis a few days ago. I mean the glacial walker does have a bit higher hp and Mdef but def not worth lvling from 19 to anything above lvl 45. I have a magmite for tanking and petie sawfly for pvp and a Kowlin for luring(since it's the fastest pet).

I decided to keep my Magmite. I'm currently holding a Crystalline Magmite, and a Petite Sawfly. Probably going to get a Dark Wanderer if it's a higher level since I don't want to train Varicose Scorpion from LV2 to my level haha.

Does anyone know a good pet for underwater?

the dark wanderer starts out at level 10... might as well get a scorpion, seeing as you're up at 50.

underwater? i HATE underwater quests and such. i just tame whatever water mob's nearby and more or less my level, then dump it immediately after the job's done. that is, assuming i've got a pet slot free --- otherwise i just bring a friend to tank for me instead.

Why Scorpion > Wanderer if I may ask.

And okay, I absolutely loathe water quests aswell. I'll just do that.

I think the scorpion has slightly higher DPS compared to the wanderer. Although the wanderer does have his own power as well in speed and def.
