First of all, let me say to my defence that this is my first char.
Second, i did it cuz it seemed logical.

Anyway, i have squeezed in Amber Shards in every socket ive got on my gear(Except weapon) and i wonder if i did that right?
My HP is low(1600+) at Lv. 43, my evasion is pretty high(1700) but the mobs still hit me alot, they do miss occasionally, but still....

Should i have put in HP shards instead of the evasion, or is this right?

    Yes, you should put HP shards in instead. Evasion does not do much for you, so it is pretty wasteful. Besides, later in levels you will be able to get gear which increases your evasion by a percentage.

    Well, evasion matters very little in PvE. In PvP, it can make a difference, with the exception of magic attacks. However, as an Assassin you already have high evasion and like resistance stats, having twice as much evasion does not equate to twice the percentage to evade. Mostly, those shards would be for classes who do not have much if any evasion.

    Your strengths are evasion, accuracy and power. Your weaknesses are resistance (due to light armor) and health. Resistance will not do very much for you anyways, so HP is the best way to go. Just as well, don't even worry about sharding your gears yet. Wait until high 6x/7x before you do, because with the way people level these days, you will outgrow your armor too quickly to find it useful before new armor is available. The same goes for refining gears. You should only refine gears you plan to keep for a long time.

    put physical def gems at low-medium lvls (69-) and HP gems at high lvls (70+)...

    PS: if u r not planing to PvP/Pk, or u dont have problems to be killed by mag classes, put physical def gems even at lvl70+...
