Decomposing question

First time poster, here...

I have the Swiftwind Chest (4 sockets)<empty> +2, and i was trying to decompose it to make the mold of it for the 80 gear, but instead i got nothing. I have the tailor skill to decompose it, heck i made the piece. I was just wondering if i am missing something? Like is the "+2" what stopping it? Any help is good help, b:victoryThanks.

    To get the Souledge, repair the Item before decompose.

    b:irritated Sometimes I can decompose weapons and equipment and sometimes I can't... I can't find anywhere on the PWI site any explanation of how decomposing works so am frustrated about not knowing when I can decompose things and when I won't be able to. Please help!

    Xianren, item has to be fully repaired. Repair it, then try to decompose it.

    what if its durability is say 183/185 and i tried to repair but it says nothing needs repaired so now i cant figure out whats up
