Setting protections to Expel on self

Reposting here since I'll probably receive more responses...

I use the genie skill Expel as a defensive skill on myself to make myself immune to physical damage. Its a reflex skill that I instinctively use when I'm attacked by fist BMs/sins or many archers. In the past, I had my protections set such that even if I have someone else targetted, be it someone in my faction, in my squad, not in faction, not in squad, white or red named, Expel would be cast on myself.

Recently, with the new updates, I find myself unable to set any combination of protections to allow me to do this (even with the Neutral Blessings box unchecked). My current PvP protections list is as followings:

[ ] Faction members
[ ] White name players
[ ] All

[X] If target is RED NAMED, buff is cast on yourself
[X] If target is not in your FACTION, buff is cast on yourself
[X] If target is not in your SQUAD, buff is cast on yourself
[ ] Block neutral buffs - Neutral Blessings can't be cast on yourself

Ultimately, my end goal is to have my protections set such that, if some sin were to pop out of stealth right beside me and started attacking me, I want to be able to immediately click on Expel and Expel myself even while I have him targetted. Apart from having to target myself first, then move my mouse down to click Expel, what configurations would allow me to do this?

    how about expel the sin and kill him? Expel only grants immunity to phys damage

    Most PvP-smart sins will have this checked. Expel is considered a "neutral" blessing now so it's not filtered by PvP protections it seems ><

    I try that but since sins are constantly attacking me, the game will probably retarget the sin before I manage to click Expel.

    It seems there isn't a option for that. Just have to be quick on the self-click I guess b:chuckle. Could put Expel on a pressable button (1-9, F1-F8) instead of having to click it and you'll be able to click self and spam button faster than having to move the mouse back to the expel button.

    Mayhaps should flat out change Expel to an offensive skill or defensive....

    Offensive = blue name protection will prevent it. (and targetting anything else and casting it will just cast on self.)

    just click on your avatar on the top left of the screen= focus on u means u sure get the expel

    Face any good sin or fist BM and you're dead before your mouse has moved back from your avatar to your genie.

    I might have to try the hotkey thing, but even then its still too slow ; /

    Shortcut expel to your tilde (~) key. Roll your finger over escape and tilde in one motion. Works even on 5 aps

    I actually just did a full keyboard remapping yesterday and had ~ set to assist attack (since its above Tab) and V to expel. I think I'll swap them and try out the ESC+~ combo though not sure if its reliable enough in laggy TW (compared to clicking myself and pressing the key).

    Edit: Tried it out, not fast enough with my computer, looks like I'll stick with face click + V

    i never sad anything about haveing to move the mouse to your genie lol but it seems like u guys still dont have your genie skills hotkeyed lol

    PS: face the one that kills u in 1sec or less means u will never be able to expel yourself ... doesn't matter if u hotkey or not!

    oh and hamster go b:cry cause u don't have an idea of anything and seem to fail in everything u do except for spamming stupid comments on the pwi forum.
    xD hasn't seemed to log in for a year but keeps talking about a in his opinion OP class and pvp issues lol ...

    I have no problem using expel on myself with these settings:

    I don't know how and/or why, but with the current update as it is, this works! b:victory

    In open PvP, targeting myself, a non-squadded white name, red name, faction mate or other faction member all Expel myself, being attacked or not attacked. Targeting any squad member would Expel that squad member. The normal "positive" Bramble Guard buff is only cast-able on myself and other squad members. The only complication I can see arising from this would be not brambling other faction members in TW, but that's not too much of a concern. I also have Genie Skill #6 (Expel) bound to the "V" key so I can easily move my pointer finger from "D" to "V" and keep my mouse hovered over whatever other items/skills I may be thinking of using next.

    genie skills are automatically hot keyed just press shift +f1,f2,f3,f4,f5,f6,f7,f8 =)
