Okay, so I've got both Deadly Shot and Take Aim maxed out at 10. They're both decently strong, but since one is a static amount and one is based off weapon percentage i was wondering which was most preferred.
Also, which is the better demon skill? Thanks.

At level 10, Take Aim is Base + 300% weapon damage, while Deadly Shot is Base + 100% weapon damage + 4986.6. Thus, it's 200% weapon damage versus 4986.6. You'd basically need a +12 Lunar/Nirvana/R8 bow to achieve the ~2.5k weapon damage needed to make them equal on average. Deadly Shot wins easily when comparing L10 skills.
Demon Take Aim is Base + 400% weapon damage, and is easily available at level 89. Demon Deadly Shot isn't available until 99. Thus, the difference becomes 300% vs ~5k from 89 to 99, which would require average weapon damage of ~1.7k. That's a +8 or +9 Heaven Shatterer.
Demon Deadly Shot is Base + 100% + 6.3k, so at level 99 it becomes 300% vs 6.3k. The break-even point is 2.1k weapon damage, which is about +10-11 on a Heaven Shatterer.
So basically... for the most part, Deadly Shot will do more damage. Demon Take Aim is faster by half a second though, and can be fired before it reaches full charge for more tactical flexibility.0 -

Thank you for the through responces, considering take aim is faster, which i guess i must have overlooked, and easier to obtain, i think i'll consider that as opener.

What do you mean with "Attack Opener"?
I would say 99% of archers in both pve and pvp open with Stunning arrow. On bosses in TT/Fbs you open with STA. Obviously there are situations when other skills are better choices in pvp to open, but later on you will mostly find that you use Stunning arrow to open.
Rather predictable, but than again most classes will open with a stun of some sort.
Being demon you also open with Stun to get the 10% crit. As sage, well its nice stunning something for 4.5 sec.
No one really opens anything with Take Aim or Deadly Shoot, unless its pvp and you think you can 1 shot someone/bypass their charm lol.
Deadly shoot in general is horrid DPS and wastes so much mp.0 -
I agree, u hardly ever see end-game archers charging up a deadly shot (mp/time consumption) not to mention the absurd amounts of coins/spirit needed to level it to 10 much less demon/sage. Stunning arrow (demon) is a much better opener, or sharpentooth arrow for higher hp mobs, guarantees you additional crit in the next 10-15 seconds, and renders your target stunned. If that's not available, I still prefer take aim for quick chi/less mp consumption as well as a much easier demon/sage/lv10 skill to acquire.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0

In duels, sure... in other PVP, I can't say because I haven't done much of it. XD But in PVE? I guess it depends on which PVE situation you're talking about. In instances, when your tank (or someone else) already has aggro, you do open with Stun in order to support them. But on standard mobs, I don't know anyone who opens with Stun... it's almost always either Frost or Take Aim. Just to play devil's advocate, Demon Deadly Shot does give a little boost to damage, which might make it equivalent or even better than take Aim... but the MP and charge-less cast kinda negate that (in the 70s, I could use my Lv5 Deadly Shot only when I was on Focus Powder... otherwise I opened with Lv10 Take Aim, and they were about even).[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

DS% = deadly shot's added weapon attack %
DS_c = deadly shot's added constant damage
TA=DS the value of weapon attack at which Take Aim will be on average equal to Deadly Shot
weapon attack = your level + attack from equipment (weapon.. garnet gems in weapon.. rings.. ammo.. attack charms.. etc.)[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

STA reduces max hp, which also reduces damage required to tick charm, how much the charm tick heals, and how much damage you need to deal after you have ticked charm.
