I Was in a bh 51 with a lvl 95 cleric when he told my that clerics control how lng chars live wout out a cleric u cant do bh TT FC niniarvia or pretty much any boss

So u clerics rule .

Ps. im makeing a cleric curently lvl 11 and its super funb:laugh

It's funny because some people just like to blame clerics for every single thing that happens in the squad (i.e Dying, Squad Wipes....etc) Or even the tank when sometimes it's not really either of their fault.

Eh, they don't get that the tank and cleric could just leave them helpless in a dungeon and find another squad b:chuckle

It's true, for the most part. I've met a few players that were VERY dependent. IE: a barb that solo'd TT2-1 without a single heal and told me to DD. He said he hated having to depend on someone else to keep him alive. Made me raise my eyebrow.

Though, you can't forget, sometimes it really is the cleric's fault. IE: Healing before any aggro was taken on a boss, mob or whatever comes your direction. IE: Not purifying the tank of a boss's debuffs and just BBing, over taking the heals with more damage and killing the tank, followed by the rest of the squad shortly.

Its true you lives are in our hands and without us this game would not be possible to play.

Just imagine, if for some reason all the clerics just left the game or rerole to another class it would be impossible to do any BH's, TT's, FC's, or any other instance. Then people will try to play as veno's in all veno squads, with every veno healing 1 pet that's tanking. But because of the 4 hour limit it would take to long to do instances like TT's making it impossibe to get TT armor and weapons and soon everyone will just quit that game and PWI will die soon after.

That's why clerics should be threaded with respect and not blamed for every party wipe.

Then again, without DD or tanks I'd like to see clerics try and go through dungeons. I mean, you'd have that one in a million cleric that could do it, but for the most part you need tanks also. Everybody is important =/

second thought....i dont think clerics control it but i do see few and few DD using pots at a 'uh oh' situation.... i think their just lazy so it 'looks' like the clerics 'control how long you live' when in reality they pretty much have good control of their HP/lives (pots, genies, apoth)

I agree that barbs and clerics are the most important squad members, DDers are there to well..DD..speed things up. Clerics do get a lot of blame for squad wipes/people dying..but keeping the tank alive is more important than a DD..AoE bosses with inexperienced DDs are my nightmare atm.

Technically i think barbs can do without us if they get their hands on charms. O.o. But all in all, yes, we are a rather handy bunch

Lower level barbs would have to rely on clerics for purify to survive some of the earlier debuff bosses.. Other than that, a Cleric is highly replaceable but it would cost them a lot more like heals->charms, and revive->guardian scrolls + resurrection scrolls. However blood paint on a maxed attack speed DD can replace a clerics heal as well.


So many barb hate in here, but all they are good for end-game are squad buffers and the occasional world boss tankers. (Maybe DD if they have fists with decent attack speed)

i guess that enough stubborn barb with crapload of hp could solo it with plat charm, special genie and apo.. but that would be just - lol..

I play a level 83 Cleric. There were many times I wanted to give up as cleric and dying seemed to go hand in hand.

I agree there are times it is the clerics fault but often the party fails to consider how difficult keeping a squad up can be.

The worst is when everyone goes in different directions and expects the cleric to keep up.

Also people forget that when there is a party wipe, it is the cleric that takes the greatest exp loss regardless of whose fault the wipe was. I always go back to rez the party and no one ever thanks us for taking the loss, just grumbles that the wipe shouldn't have happened in the first place even if it wasnt the clerics fault.

As a cleric I say we all have our place, one cannot do without the other. Sure we try, but there is always that day that we say, oh damn and wish we had thought of taking one of the other character classes with us.

what made u think that Wurlod that noob boss in HH is hard LoL did u ever tank it ?....

it's all about in cancel his magic hit on u thats all O.o
a decent barb will make a 100% cancel magic hit nothing to it LoL done it million of times

But Paramedic, look at Chezedude's youtube video for proof of DD capable of soloing TT without cleric. Theres another by a lvl 100 barb doing 2-3 in like 15 mins. Admit it, you are not that important =P

lol tbh u honestly dont need anything but cleric veno's and barbs unless its a speical type of run like rebirth other than that u can do almost anything veno's for those speical lures that genies cant make ive been in a frost with just 2 barb 1 cleric and 2 venos no hercs n everything went well as for the mob stun barb took turns roaring..yea but only a pro 3 man squad can pull off all the bh's n dungeons in the game

in almost every situation any class can be replaced with others, it depends mainly on skills and gear of replacements... BUT any class has some specialisation, and its easier and more convenient to use cleric for heals, barb for tanking, veno for pulling, bm for crowd control, wiz, archer, sin and psy for dds, not mentioning all classess specific buffs / debuffs...
my understanding of cleric role in squad is: you keep me alive so i can keep you alive. there are situations where boss can be easily tanked on charm, especially with good dds in squad so he dies fast, but especially with bossess with reduce pdef / reduce mdef debuffs or nasty aoes, squads ARE dependant on cleric and his skill... and why its so hard to admit it? this game is specifically designed for team play, want to solo everything go play some fps offline...
