Knownase - Heavens Tear

Well, recently I became interested in the TW history of this server. So yea, lets talk about the past.

I started this game out in March of '09, I didn't start to pay attention to TW until I was like....lvl 70.

The earliest I can remember was Tien, Enlighten, and Assault being on the map at some point.

So my question is, can anyone make a timeline of TW history? What factions came to be, and fell apart.

Memorable people, whether for better or worse.

The_Wall - Heavens Tear

TheEmpire got the first land on the map. Evolution that same weekend. Next weekend Elysium and Radiance got a land and TE and Evo increased.. Weekend after that RoC and Genesis got a land all other land owners increased as well. (Not quite sure about this memory fuzy) Ravenhawk <-[Spelling could be off] and Dragons got land soon after. After most the Lv: 3 lands were taken from the wraiths the first PvP TWs began. The first battle was Avengers attack on Genesis. In that battle there was no flying which was a interesting dynamic.

I will let others add more to that time period and beyond now

On your picture there I know that Immolation Camp is held by Sindar. What holds Dribbling Spring I do not remember. But I do remember Elysium's first time on the map was that cyan that Caesar had for a long time on the map. And yes I can confirm that Yellow Wellspring was RoadKill.

Rocky - Heavens Tear

- TheEmpire was the first guild to gain PvE lvl 3 land in the server followed by Evolution on the same day.
- Evolution was the first guild to gain PvE lvl 2 land (Etherblade) in the server after 3~4 fail attempts.
- Radiance and on the first try, obtained the first lvl 1 land (Archosaur) in the server.
- Radiance was the only guild on that server that beated both PvE lvl 1 lands Archosaur and 1K.
- Genesis won the first PvP TW on the server.
- Guilds that had almost half of the TW map for some point were Radiance > RoC > Caesar > Enrage.

Attacking ==================Defending

Smirnoff vs RoC
RoC is a very organized guild when it comes to PK. It's hard to find such a group of dedicated and closely knit friends to game with. Lucky them. However, organizing PK group is one thing while organizing your entire guild for a TW is another. Unfortunately it won't be Smirnoff to teach that lesson to RoC. Smirnoff is the first up to face RoC this week but I'm afraid they will barely serve as an appetizer. I expect RoC to roll their way to their first victory in a blitzkrieg.

RoC > Smirnoff in 10 mins

Warlock vs RoC
Three minutes after Smirnoff's attack begins, Warlock will be gearing up for RoC's second defense of the day. Warlock, as I know, is striving to be a PvP/PK guild and it's headed by an ex-leader of Elysium, Kenji. While they have a few top levels in the guild, they simply do not have enough people to face RoC yet. Hell, I don't even think most of their members passed 100H because the guild is so new.

RoC > Warlock in 10 mins

Shadow vs RoC

Last week Shadow couldn't break through Genesis. Well the news is RoC is roughly twice as strong as Genesis so this is clearly a mismatch despite RoC having two other matches. I don't think RoC will be even forced to split that much as the rate they should be finishing up these matches will allow them to focus one by one.

RoC > Shadow in 15 mins


Sindar vs Radiance

This is Radiance's only defensive match this day so I don't think it'll be much trouble for them. Sindar's previous bid was for RoC, which got trumped by Radiance so I'm guessing Sindar is just bored and wants to have some fun. I hope they do! But Radiance will take this in the end.

Genesis vs RoC
OoOo I believe this is the first war on the server where it will take place during 14:00 PST time. I hope that's alright with everyone in these 2 guilds because this is quite an exciting match. Although RoC is stronger Genesis packs quite a punch itself. RoC must be reluctant to play this match because they must face 2 big guilds later on. Too bad RoC, your charms will definitely tick in this one :toocool: You will probably reverse the offensive on Genesis to achieve an early victory but... your charms will tick. Oh, I said that already.

RoC > Genesis in 20 mins


Radiance vs RoC

Dun dun dun! Heads are going to rolllllll in this match. This will be the biggest PvP match since Elysium attacked RoC weeks ago. Radiance is a very strong guild with lots of awesome people. Although their PKing skills aren't as brushed up as RoC I am willing to bet their TW tactics are just as sharp, if not more. I also think Radiance's attack strategies would be a lot neater than Elysium's. All this, plus the fact that Radiance is sharing the same attack time as TE, another top guild in the server (oh Hisui be more modest would ya?) means RoC will likely sacrifice one land because defending both is not very feasible. If RoC sends their full force against Radiance, then they have a slight chance of winning. The odds however, is with Radiance here.

Forgotten vs RoC

To be honest I have never even heard of this guild until today. There is nothing to predict here. RoC will probably send a few members to take care of business and then forget about it ever happened.

TE is the first faction to declare war against RoC this week and one of the last factions to fight the war. What will I do until then... :leafblow:

Evolution vs PvE - Etherblade

This is probably the most anticipated match for many in HT. Evolution will attempt to take down Etherblade once again. Last week I have already explained a little about a level 2 territory. To put it in summary for you again, it's not easy. There are *many* bosses in level 2 territory with its own strength and weakness that takes a lot of coordination and planning. Again I'll give the benefit of the doubt to Evo and assume they have prepared properly in the coordination and planning category, yet I still doubt that they have enough high levels to take Etherblade down even after getting reinforced by new high level members. This week I'll consider it an achievement if Evo makes it to the last boss... but I'll put my money on Etherblade winning in the end.

TheLegend vs RoadKill

*giggle* I'm starting to wonder if TE started the whole "The" syndrome in HT :>_<: Anyways, TL is a new name for me. I don't know anyone in it. Last week RoadKill was able to prove themselves again by fighting off Vitality, trumping my predictions. RoadKill must have supreme political skills because the 2 huge guilds they reside in the middle of have yet to touch them. Hmmm I hope they're putting their 10 mil a week to good use :shrug: Anyways, RoadKill should do fine this week and cash in again next friday.

TheEmpire got the first Lv: 3 land. Red is always the first color. Green is always second. TheEmpire is red now because red is always first.

RoC never had 50% of land to my memory. Accurate 50%+ domination is Radiance > Enrage > Tao > Enrage. Even though RoC and Caesar both got close to 50%.

But here is an addition to who had the most land not necessarily 50%+ time line:

TheEmpire > Radiance > Enrage > Caesar > Tao > Enrage

Yes ViTaLiTy did lose to Elysium and RoC in the same time slot and off mapped. After that weekend the next weekend was one of the biggest battles in server history. Elysium and RoC battled for the first time and RoC won. Was seen as a big upset for most of the server expecting Elysium to win at the time.

TE was first to get lvl 3 land, colour should already tell it rocky... roc never were too big on map, and caesar never had even near half the map.
Edit: seeing as wall corrected those already.... anyhow, I recall Triad equaled Enrage when the map was most even between rad enrage triad and caesar, making Triad another of these "leading" factions in landmass?

Yee Triad had the "ego" veno crew.. They got prettly close before their leader had to leave

Triad beat Enrage and then there was a split over the issues those venos made right after. About 30 left to Tao/Enrage and Caesar.
Triads power was in the friendship and bounds we had then. I remembers we had twice less cata barbs and venos comapred to Clunkers Enrage, and lower levels, and not even close as good gear.

About 1st TWs on HT:

te/evo/rad/dragons/elisium got lands during the 1st month and a half.

Dragons is the oldest faction on HT, Radiance is second, and then I forgot the others.. soz .. I know Legion was older than TE etc etc. Fallen's alt has lead of Dragons today. Its not the 1st faction that got land, but after TE/Evo/Rad and Elysium.

1st pvp TW on HT was Genesis vs Dragons (Aurelius made Genesis hoping that original faction members from 'MMORPG Archlord' 'Genesis' of Evenguarda server where he played before PWI - would all come to here / Whip-veno was the Leader of Dragons then).

Anyway, 1st PvP TW vent okaj and Gen won us pretty much same way as todays TW come to pass. But then the average level was 50 or 55~ xD and we were new to TW, never played in Asian servers etc.

1st PvP TW drama:

The second pvp TW (Gen VS Dragons) got GMs involved as Gen players gliched into cata pixels (back then, such a thing ment that you cant target anyone if they are 'hidden' inside each other and in the cata pixels, there was no T menu nor Tab option, you had to Click on the player or assist attack). GMs made a big forum post after Dragons leader complained explaining that MY version gliches arent allowed in PWI.

I dont remember if they got banned after but I know that TE leader (and TE was the strongest faction at that time) was upset and posted here on forums how TE is not happy over the abuse of the catapults and that she will bid on Gen to get them in order (and she did took lands from them soon after).

RoC's peak was between 9 and 11 lands I believe

Radiance peak was 23-27 (map was 44 lands at the time)

Evo was closer to 50% than RoC when they had 12 lands (during the fall of the original TE)

Enrage I believe was just under 50% when the Caesar/Tao/Triad -> Caesar/Tao/Radiance ganks started reducing their overall land somewhere between 19 and 21 (though I may be wrong and they might've hit 23 or 24)

Though I'd be interested in seeing SS's that the above incorrect (I didn't track the TW map before joining Tao that closely)

Chanima - Heavens Tear

January 1st 2009 I joined EqualiZeR, I was lvl 40 then.. A few weeks later or so when I was lvl 55 or something we got our first land from TheEmpire, they lost their last land to EqualiZeR. Was good times there with YukiChiu, Sharp_Edge, ToveineSedai, firenight, Gwendolynne and so on...
TE had like 5 or 6 members, but they were OP compared to most of us noobs.. we had like 2-3 lvl 80+ and mostly low lvls at that point, but we did win.... Im not sure if anyone from TE in that fight still play but was a BM there that was hard to kill lol... like 20 ppl needed to kill that female BM..

Then we hold the land for two weeks... TheLegend attacked us the week after and was so confident that they would win that land,.. It was a 3 hours long fight with EqualiZeR turtling, very even fight in strenght but we did hold them..
After 2 hours people from TheLegend stopped caring and just flew around talking to people in common chat..

I remember a barb that always ran inside base and kill himself lol, he was named "decooy" or something, not sure about the correct spelling.

Fun times indeed.. The week after Triad attacked us..... Thats the first time I saw the horde of nixes flying around... We lost fast and Triad was ruthless with that nix force.. I remember hating Triad after that + that they seemed to bribe people to join them and so on, I dunno. but I never liked them lol.. Anyways.. Triad got their first land against EqualiZeR... must have been mid January 2009...

When I started playing the game all lvl 1 and 2 lands was taken by Radiance to the North-West, Evolution to the North East, RoC in the South-West and TheEmpire around Archosaur and down to Dreamweaver if im not wrong..

I always loved the name "TheEmpire" and my dream was to join them when I got high enough lvl. but at lvl 58 they lost their last land so I never got that chance.. at lvl 101 - 1 year and 8 months after im in "TheEmpire" so I guess it came true after all b:chuckle

The few old players I remember that looked cool cause they were high lvl etc:
* Vivi
* Wargasm
* Serjah
* Antigone

and some more BMs and Venomancers I cant really remember the name of.. Most of them went to Enrage when that started as far as I know and they probably quit..b:bye

Genesis did not glitch anything as the GMs decided. They said you cannot ban someone on the basis of where they move their character. Something so easily done on purpose or accident. You did not need the squad menu or Tab button to click on the catapult puller. All you have to do is hold Shift then click on the catapult to get the target. We even taught your leader at the time how to do this after we wiped you off the map. Nobody in Genesis got banned over this. Because there is nothing they did wrong. The GMs cannot ban someone else because you cannot figure out Shift + Click. TE had the most land at the time. Radiance had a much stronger military. And with all this complaining about catapult placement there were several people that still play today that joined Radiance instead of TheEmpire because they saw TheEmpire as just a group of people that complain about everything. In a way we are both right. You are counting 50% of the map by individual lands. I am counting by faction income.

On a side note from history. Monofailness do you plan on petitioning to biscuiteater and drionna to ban any WAR GODZ catapult pullers that go inside their catapults?

I've had times where doing that didn't help me target someone under a cata, or just an npc in a crowd of players. Shift+click / control+click don't always work.

Genesis learned that cheap glitch from ex-MY players. You could not shift target over the pets and when you pile them with 20 players hiding in cat pixel flying - you could hardly even click on a cleric to kill while hes healing the barb.

Dragon leader sent ticket, GM posted on this forum and explained that it was an abuse of the targeting system dev's did not find solution for yet (they fixed it now with more options to target).

GMs also said that on MY version there were many things that aren't allowed and legal in PWI. I do not recall Genesis abusing the targeting system at all after GMs post, good pups.

TE leader was upset over the abuse and said they wont let factions like that exist on map. TE didn't even plan to PvP TW before someone bid on them 1st, there were plenty PvE lands also left around to bid on. It was this TW issue (that they took as is), and fact that they liked Dragons, that sparked them to bid and end Aurelius faction.

But also to note. Genesis was 1st big fail on the server. Had good players, not so bad TW, tho not even close to real competition then. But, Kid Aurelius took most of the money from lands for himself and refuse to pay to others which is why most left. I known the kid since the game we played before PWI, he was pretty honest about this.

Only after, New Leader of TE tired to sell the faction. Dragons later merged in Radiance.

We can go in circles on about this for ages but I really do not want to do this to Knownase's thread idea which I like.

Took you some time to respond to what I said but I guess that is what happens when someone is busy making their squad fail Rebirth Delta before the 3rd Marshal because they refuse to use axes. Your playing ability grows infamy grows even with +8 to +10 armor refines and +10 on one of your weapons.

Okay you claim to not cash shop yet you do have some of the stupidest money spending I have ever seen in this game. TT100 sword, Primeval shards in TT100 fists, +1 attack shards when you do not even use axes. I do not have any idea why you think I would be jealous of your gear. I saw you dead the whole time in Radiance battles while I obliterate your towers and crystal.

I was Lv: 95 before anyone in the server beat Rebirth Delta. Proud of failing at wave 9 with Vezz when I'm the only barbarian that had him beat it?:
