Well i have been playing BoI already for 3 weeks and in the first day I went from 0-35 in couple of hours, here in PWI in 2 hours I am only level 5 is this the normal thing? Plus the mobs at my level hit like mules I have died more killing my same and lower level mobs than in BoI where I can easy handle mobs up to 10 levels higher than me. Just curious people no QQing about just want to know is this is what to expect or I just got spoiled with BoI?

Yeah, I'm afraid that pretty much just means that you're not very good at perfect world.

The levelling slows down - but you can hit 14 in a couple of hours if you know what you're doing.

Once you get higher, especially up into the 80s and above, it slows RIGHT down. But the low levels are fast.

Slow down and enjoy the game, I say.

BoI is the easiest MMO I've ever played. PWI isn't exactly hard on average, most MMO's are like that.

Maybe I chose the wrong class? I chose Wizard, so far I have managed only to make like 3000 coins, the price of everything is thru the roof, the quest about leaping something for a coffer is impossible to achieve (mainly due to lag in the server), the other quests after I kill 1 mob I have to sit and heal (meditate) I dont have any other skill to use as wizard to attack mobs except direct attack, next skills are at level 10, so it is not that I am not good at the game is that the game sucks at low levels, the game should provide at least from level 0-20 an easy pass, like in BoI, there is not easy pass for wizards, only 1 attack skill, in BoI as wizard you start with 2 attack skill both magic not a freaking sword, who has seen a wizard using a sword what the heck is that? Wizards are not made for melee but this game gave me in my first quest a freaking sword for my Wizard is that normal? Of course I cant freaking level up.

You're probably not selling your dragon quest drops 5a6157d0.gif to the npc

    no they aren't being sarcastic..

if you actually look at some of the drops you get you will see they mention "dragon quest(20)" or similar. In the starter areas their are NPCs that give you quests that use these items - used to be people did them for the rewards which you could save up and get a decent mount (silver mane or violet lightning) then these were added to the boutique (oh remember the QQ about that little action lol) anyway you can still do them for molds for armours etc. You can also use some of these drops for the quests to expand your safe.

anyway these DQ drops sell for more to other players than if you NPC them - set yourself up as a cat shop when you go eat.. you will make more selling them to other players.

the wizard class takes a lot of care to play, i've found. i'm always dying on my wiz, and i'm not usually a gung-ho, full speed ahead sort of player at all. it's just that wizzies are squishies, simple as that.

venos are much more forgiving, but that can also lead to laziness if you're not the sort of player to want to explore the limits of how your char can be run. if you do like to find out what all your class can do, then venomancers can prove amazingly flexible and powerful, very fun to run.

anyway, most all classes should be relatively easy to get through the first ten or so levels. that should be doable in a handful of hours playing time, maximum. it slows down a lot from there, but the starter game is very quick, as in most every MMO.

in the first few levels, pick up everything that drops. everything. sell it all to a merchant NPC for coin, unless you know you'll need it. (nothing drops in the early levels that won't drop very soon again, you won't be selling anything irreplaceable.)

the human race jumping quest is infamously frustrating, unless maybe you've got years of experience playing platform jumping games on consoles --- seems to be the same game "physics" at play here. google it, there're youtube videos that explain how it's done.

Also, those swords are actually magic tools, like wands and staves. If you're trying to level a wizard using auto-attack you're doing it horribly wrong.

You should have Pyrogram learned when you made that character, and at your level you could learn Gush too. With those two you should never have to rest for hp/mp until at least level 10.

That's normal. If the "6" on your forum Avatar is still an indication of your level you won't be getting DQs until a bit later (and you'll want to save the ones you need for the safe extension).

Dragon Quest is a repeatable quest, with a "new" one every 10 levels. The first one is at lvl 20, IIRC, followed by 31, 41, 51 etc. Items tend to start dropping before, but not generally THAT much before.

Still, as you approach 20 you should be getting DQ drops.

Also, keep in mind that you do not want to buy equipment; just use what you get/find. You're outlevelling gear too fast. And don't forget that those teleports cost money.
Slow progress, game is getting way too grindy :-( Quests I still hope to be able to do some day: FB39, General Feng

Leveling fast or slow is relative to your own understanding of the game mechanics.

If you are dieing a great deal of the time, you'll be losing experience points as well. So the short answer is: Don't die.

Wizards are probably the hardest class to level initially. They have almost no physical defense (Pdef) and the early mobs are almost all physical ones.

A good way to learn the game mechanics and practice your skills is to go back to your starter village and kill scores of those mobs. Learn which skills chain better together, and how to arrange those skills in attacking mobs. Always attack mobs from as far away as you can.

If you take your time in playing, and do your quests you will learn more about your class's strengths and weaknesses (which you've probably already figured out.)

The OP was definitely using auto attack on his wizzy.

Once you get used to the game, it goes pretty fast. I can usually lvl from 1 to 25 on the first day after making a character, because I know all the quests well. (been playing since forever).
