    The bad breath, tentacled green monster with a huge mouth with pointy teeth, indeed. I discovered him in Final Fantasy VI as Evil Oscar/Mad Oscar... Damn beast giving you random status penalties.

    They probably named it because of its foul breath, the link with smoking indeed (No, Link does not smoke! And Dodongo dislikes smoke anyway).

    No, has been stated earlier. The fact that they truly are pups and not simple mobs that have been turned into mascots give it an even bigger effect of specialness... that and the idea that they are all round. b:laugh

    Makes sense actually. I've always said that if you can explain the storyline of any FF game without sounding like you're on crack then you're not playing an FF game. b:chuckle

    On-Topic: The fact that you need to charge zen to get the pet makes me lose hope for the continued existence of this game. It's such an obvious ploy to milk money from players that it's frankly disgusting. Shame on the devs for even thinking of it and I pity the GMs for having to deal with that kind of ****.

    Sadly, last time I logged in I saw several people with the cerberus so it would appear that it's working.

    For some reason, I thought the only way to get this pet was to charge $1000 in zen, not 1000 zen. b:chuckle

    Okay, so you need to defeat some random boss, who is mega fail. Then you need to collect the 4 crystals of each element, while doing so you need:

    - help a kidnapped fairy to get something to breath under water
    - talk to a random group of people who say the same thing until you get a special stone
    - give a rat's tail to the god of dragons to become mega powerful
    - Give a legendary metal to a dwarf, who smiths Excalibur in about 3 seconds with it
    - Help a blind which, who has brooms that talk backwards
    - Get a cannoe which fits in your pocket, as well as steal a pirate ship and get an airship.
    When you're done all this you need to travel back in time and kill that random boss who you already killed at the begining of the game, but he's much much stronger. And for some time travely reason, the story says you've been stuck in an infinite loop of killing him forever, which is why you restart your file after you kill him. (Or at least thats how I remember it goes)

    $1000 at once, lol. I still laugh at people that believed it ever was that way. PWI would then become a game of millionaires.

    Off-Topic: Ah, the first FF, I played the NES version (I bought and tried it after I possessed FF VI) until I got wiped out by the second Tiamat, aka the second to last boss... with a fail party... Fighter (great), W. Mage (great when not out of MP), B. Mage (same) and Black Belt (fail)

    That said, the story of the 4 crystals was abandoned after FF V, if I am not mistaken. Many things changed as Square merged with Enix and are now a bunch of greedy losers. b:laugh

    Blackbelts are the most broken class in the whole game, if you play them right. They don't need equipment, and they're on par with a Fighter/knight with a masamune/excalibur at later levels.

    Bah, they got ZERO spells though. I chose two fighters and two red mages in the remix and swept the floor from all mobs.

    If you want a game filled with weirdness and blasphemy, go play FF VIII. I hated it and the first part of the ending was really a demonstration on why you should not go for dope.
