"War chest" and mobile Cupboard

PWE staff: Please pass this suggestion on to the Beijing devs. :P

I'd really like to see an item that does for equipment what the Wardrobe did for fashion. Many players carry around pieces of equipment that they swap out frequently, depending on the situation. Blademasters are the biggest example of this: most BMs use more than one weapon type nowadays, and many are capable of equipping all four weapon types (mine is one of these). Assassins often carry bows, Archers sometimes carry fist weapons (and I'm not even counting those crazy -interval "fist archers" -_-), and some magic-based characters carry more than one weapon, or even carry entire sets of arcane and light armor for different situations.

It would be great to be able to switch gear like that without having to worry about losing them when we die from mob attacks. Realistically speaking, I doubt there are many people who buy Binding Charms for gear that doesn't auto-bind on being equipped... because what are our options? Either risk losing our equips when we're killed by mobs, or buy binding charms and lose our investment on those items.

It would be more helpful (and probably more profitable for PWE) if you offered an item... let's say for 5 gold... which opened 8 slots in your inventory specifically for equipment. Equipment you put into this "war chest" should not be vulnerable to dropping on death, except when the player is pink-named or higher (like with equipped items). Finally, the "chest" should also come with the ablity to swap sets of armor with a single click (again, like the Wardrobe does for fashion).

Also: Please make the Cupboard a mobile option like the Wardrobe. As it is, the Cupboard is only additional, if inferior, bank space. It's not useless, but it would be a lot more popular if you could carry it around like the Wardrobe and free up those dedicated slots in your inventory for other things. I'd upgrade my Cupboard (currently it only has the first 8 slots) if this was implemented.

Thanks for reading.

Hm, well... sounds all nice, but wouldn't it be easier just to increase the own inventory? And it's even cheaper. And since when you can carry around a cupboard? ^^ It's good as it is now, why would you want to carry around your mats anyway? Too lazy to walk to any banker?

Anyway, hope you're happy now with 1 answer to your thread...^^ Maybe more are following...

Items in inventory can be dropped when you die, even when you die by a mob (it's a 1% chance). So any equipment you keep in your inventory might drop when you die, no matter what the circumstance (unless you keep guardian scrolls on you at all times).

Also, some people really do just have a lot of things to carry around. Personally, my inventory is maxed and I still carry around a lot of things:
    • Standard HP/MP pots
    • Event HP/MP Food
    • Life Powder, Focus Powder, Flourish Orbs, Jade Powder, Orb of Vibrating Light
    • Three weapons aside from the one I'm equipping at any given moment
    • 6-7 different ammo types aside from the one I'm equipping at the moment (I use all ranged weps :P)
    • Dedicated slots for Lv3, Lv4 and Lv5 mineable mats
    • Dedicated slots for several different herbs (probably 10-12, I don't have access to the game atm so I can't check :P)
    • Pickaxe
    • Teles
    • Chrono Key
    • The latest two varieties of Jade for my level
I'd carry around the Lv4 and Lv5 droppable mat stacks if I could get away with it. XD But I don't have the space. At any given time, I have about 10-12 free spots open in my inventory for gathering items in combat. :P

It's not about being "too lazy" to go back to the banker, it's about not wanting to have to decide between picking up a mat or keeping a stack of DQ items. Keeping dedicated mat stacks in my inventory makes things simpler for me. :P I can't be the only one who does it.

    Lol O_o

Well, I thought they changed it already that players in safe mode/ blue named players can't drop any stuff anymore...

And about your inventory... put the mats into your safe, and whenever you farm mats, stack them into the fitting bank slot... as for food, store some of those as well (don't think you're using everything at once) ... e voila your inventory is suddenly much emptier.

Yes, and my bank is a "lot fuller." XD

Even if I had a bigger cupboard to put mats in... what's the harm in being able to carry it like the wardrobe? :P

And where did you hear that they removed the 1% drop rate? I'm pretty sure that's listed on the site somewhere.

Well about that drop chance being removed... I noticed that last year in game and stumbled upon on the forums... somewhere in the past...

And I've got suddenly a awesome idea. Let's add walking NPC storage systems to PWI! That NPC follows you around... and carries your stuff. b:surrender

Or else... stop collecting so much stuff :P

Very good suggestion indeed, specially since I share the thought.

I will not describe my inventory, but let's leave it at the fact that I have several different weapons on my inventory, including HH from 60 to 90, and a set of fists to get chi faster on npc/pillars (Faster hit rate than barehanded), and a +10 dex belt, so I can wear the fists.

An insta~change set would allow me to go from full defense gear to -channeling set in a single click, but, till we get it(If we do), I use the skill bars for my gear changes.

*edit* Btw, that drop chance has not been removed, I have dropped my pickaxe to both players and mobs while being whitenamed *edit*
    <"shameless self-bump :D" Alexenokin - Lost City>
-102% channeling self buffed wizzie, ready to shoot ^.^ (And -107% on Demon Spark, **** refines, I got turbo)

*WTB: -12~-18% chan stuff, pm me in here or in game for details*

Well I haven't said anything about a removed drop chance while being white named, I only considered being blue named. Since I'm never in PK-Mode, I do not know whether you won't drop stuff white named etc.
